This textbook, written by Avendium Acheron, Phellus Plegethon, Luna Lethe, Cirus Coctyus, and Seripha Styx, is an amalgamation of topics from the Wizarding world. Some Muggle topics are also included, but Muggles are not the primary topic of a Wizarding textbook. Please use this textbook responsibly. Being a Complete guide to the Wizarding World also means that it contains both Legal, ministry-approved topics, and illegal topics, so the use or intended use of information marked with “URI” (Unaproved / Restricted Information) may result in a punishment from a simple fine and up to a life sentence at Azkaban. Avendium has also included a number of Charms and enchantments attached to the pages of this book, allowing for a greater educational experience.

A Complete Guide to Wands and their Creation
Chapter 2
None of the primary writers has major experience in the Wand-Making industry, so the following texts have been written by one of the many Sub-Authors, named Elania Blackthorn, who does have many years of experience with wand-making.
Wands are magical instruments that channel a Witch or Wizard's power to achieve complex results. All but a few spells require the use of a wand. Without a wand, magic is difficult, requiring focus and skill. Only advanced witches or wizards can cast a spell without a wand.
To perform a spell with a wand, the user must speak an incantation confidently and accurately. The wand's movement or placement must also be precise. This ensures that the spell's power and effectiveness are maximized. Advanced witches or wizards can cast spells non-verbally, making them difficult to detect and counter.
Although a wand is considered Quasi-Sentient, they are inanimate. Their behaviour is from being imbued with magic, making it as interactive as possible. Wandmakers create wands from specific types of wood and a magical substance known as a core to craft the wand. The combination of wood and core dictates the wand's affinity, power, and behaviour.
To use a wand successfully, it's important to know the wood type, core, and characteristics of the wand. This knowledge will help you understand how the wand will behave and which spells will work best.
Keep in mind that every wand is different, and even wands with the same composition can vary drastically. This is because it will learn from its wizard companion over time, slowly changing. Each wand is made from a special wood that is said to amplify and enhance the magic abilities of its wielder, which means that the nature of a wand wood is only a generalised note and it can undergo change. Only some trees are fit for Wand-making, and it takes many years to properly identify the trees that can. One never-failing way to identify a magical tree is the Bowtruckle that may rest in its leaves, as Bowtruckles protect trees that grow wand-quality wood. I have noticed in my time exploring that the greater the number of Bowtruckles that group around a tree, a group is called a “Branch”, the greater the rarity or power of a tree.
