Chapter 2
My parents were total opposites, and yet they worked well together. You know what they say - opposites attract. My parents got married on a beautiful sping day in 1974. Strangely enough, they got married in canada. How? I'm glad you asked.
My father is certainly English. Born and raised. My mother however, was Canadian. My father as you know worked for the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic, and my mother worked in for the Department of Mysteries at the American Ministry. They officially met at the 1972 International Magical Ministries Convention, which took place in the United Kingdom. My mother was fresh out of Ilvermorny and my father was already an old man - about 33. They hit it off immediatly, which lead to their marriage a year and half later.
My father would take the floo network accross the Atlantic everyday to be with my mother in Canada and work for the British Ministry. My mother would always question why he wouldn't just transfer to the American Ministry and get settled in Canada, but he would always give vague reasons not to. "I'm too loyal to leave", "I like the British Ministry", "My friends all work there" blah blah blah. What my mother did not know is that he was actually a Death Eater secretly working for Lord Voldemort and acting as a spy for him, which required him to remain at the British Ministry of Magic.
In December 1975, my parents welcomed their first born into the world. My brother, Orion Prospero Rookwood. Later in August 1978, they welcomed Thomas Pegasus, and in July 1980, I was born.
