Christmas Day
Chapter 9
Bella's eyes curled open, and nothing had changed. Except the fact there was now a giant tree in her room, completely decorated, and filled with presents at the bottom. Bella felt Teddy still there, so she tried to move slowly to not wake him. "Are you awake?" He whispered. "Yes," Bella whispered back. "Happy Christmas, love," Teddy said. "Happy Christmas," Bella answered. Bella didn't want to get up, and Teddy could tell, so he let her lay there for awhile. "Bella, it's almost nine," Teddy whispered. "Just five more minutes," Bella whispered sleepily. "Fine," Teddy agreed. After five minutes, Teddy pulled himself out from under her, and turned on the light. "Five minutes," Teddy said softly. Bella groaned, and sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Don't look at me, I probably look hideous," Bella said, and went to grab a brush off the night-stand. "You don't. You always look beautiful," Teddy answered, grabbing Bella's crutches from across the wall. Bella snorted. Once she had finished combing her hair, she grabbed the crutches from Teddy, and stood up. She walked across the room to the closet, where she found a basic outfit to wear. "I'll leave," Teddy said. Teddy exited the bedroom, leaving Bella alone to change. Bella couldn't nessasarily wear jeans because of her foot, so she put on jean shorts in the middle of winter. She also wore a red hoodie, so she could be warm. When she was about to leave, Harry came into the room. "Hey," He said, giving Bella a smile. "Hey," Bella answered, not returning his smile. "I haven't really seen you since the day I told you I was with Cho," Harry said. Bella nodded. "But, Happy Christmas," He added. "Happy Christmas," Bella answered. Bella looked down in his hands, and he was holding a wrapped parcel. He extended his hands, and Bella took the parcel. "A late present. I would have given it to Mrs. Weasley when she was asking for gifts, but it came late," Harry said. Bella began to open it, but Harry stopped her. "It will be best if you open it later," Harry said. Bella nodded, and set the package on Teddy's bed. Bella began walking with her crutches down the stairs. Harry stayed in front of her to make sure she didn't fall. Bella reached the floor, and immediantly went to the living room, where she was positive Raelyn would be there. "Happy Christmas, Bells," Raelyn cheered excitely. "Same to you," Bella said, but not as enthusiastic. Bella took a seat on the couch, and Raelyn joined her. "So, how did you sleep?" Raelyn asked. Bella thought a moment. How did she sleep? "Wonderfully," Bella said. Raelyn smiled. Bella talked with Raelyn and Ginny for awhile, while everyone else kinda did their own thing. Raelyn and Ginny got along great, even though they had a year difference, and Bella was glad she had such amazing friends. After Bella ate a rather late breakfast, Ginny finally convinced everyone to open their presents. Despite Bella's begging to not to, everyone cut her off. Bella returned to the couch, and sat by Teddy. He put his arm around her comfortingly. Bella watched as everyone opened their presents. She smiled at their reactions, and felt with excitement as everyone opened her gifts. When it was Teddy's turn, Bella sat up, and watched him open all of them. Right now, he was unraveling a parcel from Hermione. "Wow, a WeatherWatcher! Thanks Mione," Teddy said excitedly. "Now open mine," Bella pleaded. "Alright," Teddy agreed. He seized Bella's package for him, and began opening it. Bella smiled as Teddy's face dropped. She had gotten him a Broomstick-Care Box. "But I don't play anymore," Teddy said. "You should. You always told me how much fun you had when you were a kid," Bella said. "But that was like ten years ago!" Teddy said. "Could you please play? For me?" Bella asked, and pointed to her foot, and gave him puppy dog eyes. "I probably would have if I didn't miss tryouts," Teddy said. "You could have gone," Bella said. "I had to watch over you," Teddy agrued back. "We still have room on the team. We could talk to Angelina and get you on the team. She could set up a private tryout, too," Ginny said. "Perfect," Bella said, smiling at Teddy. "Thanks," Teddy said. "You're welcome," Bella said, and she gave him a warm hug.
