Teddy's Confession
Chapter 8
When Bella awoke, she was in a bedroom of some sort, but she didn't know where it was. Bella tried to get up, but then remebered her leg, and flopped back down. She rolled over, and saw another bed on the other side of the room. There was someone in it, but she couldn't make out who. "Good morning," said a familiar voice. It was Teddy's. Bella shot right up. "Teddy?" Bella asked. She could now see him, lying flat on his back, his hand on the back of his head. "Yes?" He asked, and he too, sat up. Bella never really noticed what Teddy really looked like. He had fluffy dark brown hair, with emerald eyes. He was wearing a white t-shirt, and sweatpants, and a light blue bracelet on his left hand. "Where are we?" Bella asked. "Grimmauld Place, as what Ginny calls it," Teddy answered. "Oh," Bella said, releifed. "Now, could you tell me why you passed out?" Teddy teased. Bella hesitated. She ended up telling Teddy about the whole soul-mate color thing, and Teddy scoffed. "Idiot," He said quietly. "What?" Bella asked. "He's an idiot. If he really thinks that girl is better than you, then-" Teddy started, and then lost words. Bella grinned. "Any guy would be on their knees begging for you," Teddy finished. Teddy stood up, and sat on Bella's bed. "Any person who doesn't like you is crazy," Teddy said. "Do you like me?" Bella asked shakingly. "Yes," He breathed. "As a friend?" Bella asked uncertain. She was scared of his answer, but mostly, of her own reply. Teddy looked to the ground, then back in her eyes. He shook his head lightly. "But that's not the point," Teddy said. "You don't," He said finally. Bella looked apologetically at him. "It's not that I don't, it's just I don't know what to do. Dad wants me to be with Harry," Bella said. "But that's not his choice. If that guy really wants to be with Cho Chang instead of Isabelle Weller, than there's a problem there," Teddy said. "Teddy! I don't have to follow the stupid rules of the Soulmates Proclamation," Bella said. "Even Hermione said so. It's just for a standarding the options or something like that," Bella said. Teddy grinned. Bella didn't know what to do now. Teddy was right there, and he wanted her. But did she want him? She had too, who wouldn't? Bella felt herself being pulled closer to Teddy. He was moving closer too, until they were inches away. Her eyes closed gently as she pressed her lips to his. All her worry about Harry was gone. She didn't have to fear the Proclamation anymore. If she wanted Teddy, Teddy was there. He would let her have him. And to Bella, that was reassuring. Bella tried to hold on, but Teddy broke the kiss, and stared into her eager eyes. "Breakfast," He said slightly. "Where are the others?" Bella asked, trying to get him to stay longer. "Raelyn insisted I sleep by myself, but Mrs. Weasley didn't have more rooms, so here I am," Teddy said. "Well, I'm glad you are here," Bella said. "Me too," Teddy answered, leaning back in. Bella didn't hesiatate, and came closer to him again, until Teddy pulled away before Bella could give in. "Maybe later," Teddy said. "But I'm not hungry!" Bella protested. "I am," Teddy said. "Could you help me downstairs then?" Bella asked. "I guess," Teddy said, and he helped her up. The thoughts running through Bella's mind was all of her bottled up feelings for Teddy that she didn't have to hide anymore. She felt free to think and feel as she pleased. She let go off all her feelings for Harry, if she even had any, and remembered the erge to be with Teddy. She had forgotten about all the pain in her foot, and had no desire to remember it. Teddy got Bella's crutches out, and Bella began to exit the room. "How does it feel?" Teddy asked. "It's alright. Could be better, I guess," Bella said. "When we are done with Breakfast, we can put some ice on it," Teddy suggested. Bella groaned. More time wasted. Bella just wanted to be alone with Teddy once more, and never leave his side. It was an odd feeling, but that's just what she felt. Teddy helped her down the stairs, and they made it to the Kitchen, where everyone was wide awake and eating. Christmas was in a week, and preparing for it didn't go as planned. Bella was usually a very good planner, and she would always help the Weasley's Decorate for Christmas. Now you may be wondering, how, without Harry around? Well, Harry always showed up really close to Christmas. Bella would be there for the first week, since she was good friends with Ginny, and then would go home to spend time with her family. Now that Bella was injured, she wasn't a big help. Bella sat patiently on the couch, telling everyone what to do, and when to do it. When everyone finally gave up their fight and listened to Bella, they actually got somewhat half the work done. Bella eventually sighed, and picked up her crutches. "Where are you going?" Teddy asked. " On a walk," Bella said lightly. "Can I come?" Teddy asked, setting down an ordament. "Sure," Bella agreed. "Where are we walking to?" Teddy asked. "Our room," Bella answered. Teddy grinned at her. "Foot hurting?" Teddy said. "Incredibly," Bella answered miserably. "I'll grab some ice then," Teddy said. Bella nodded. Teddy went back to the kitchen, while Bella made her way up the stairs. Because of her foot, Bella was moved to the lowest level possible, which meant she only had to climb one staircase to get to the bedroom. Teddy came in after her, as Bella sat on the bed. Teddy put his hand on the door. "Open or closed?" He asked. "Closed," Bella answered. Teddy closed, the door, and helped Bella lie down. He took her crutches, and set them against the wall. He put a spare pillow under her injured foot to elevate it, and sat the ice pack ontop of the foot. It was nearly dinner time, as they were decorating all day, but Bella was tired, and frankly, not hungry. So Teddy promised to stay with her throughout dinner, for Bella didn't want to be lonely. "Can't I just grab one piece of food?" Teddy begged. "Just one. Don't take too long," Bella said sadly. Teddy shot up, and took the ice pack off her foot. He ran down the stairs, and he got two plates for Bella and him, and began to stack food on it. He put steak, pudding, carrots, everything, ontop of the plates. Teddy ran back upstairs. Teddy sat the food on a desk, and shut the door. "Are you done now?" Bella asked. Teddy nodded. Teddy sat half way on the bed, facing Bella. She was sitting up now, and her attention was fully focused on Teddy. Bella gave him a light kiss, before Teddy let go of the connection. "Sorry," Teddy muttered. "Don't be," Bella said lightly. "Will you stay with me tonight?" Bella begged. "We share a room-" Teddy said. "No. Like, with me. I get nightmares at night," Bella said. Teddy checked the time. "You sure?" He asked her. "Positive," She answered. Teddy then turned off the light, as Bella curled onto his chest. "Always," He whispered into her ear. And with that, Bella fell asleep.
