The Tryouts
Chapter 6
Bella woke up to a sudden movement. She opened her eyes, and saw a young boy, about her age, coming through the doors. He came up to her bed, and sat down. "Hello," He said to her. "Hi?" Bella answered, not knowing what was happening. "I'm sorry if this seems a little creepy. I was assigned to help you around. Because of your foot and stuff," The boy said. "Oh. Okay," Bella said. "I'm Bella," Bella told him. "I'm Theodore. But you can call me Teddy. I like that name better anyways," The boy said. "I'm a fourth year, if that helps. Ravenclaw," Bella said. "Fifth year. Gryffindor," Teddy said. "How have I not seen you before?" Bella asked. "I like to keep to myself," Teddy said. A girl creeped out of the shadows, with a breakfast tray. "Hello," The girl said. "This is my twin sister, Raelyn," Teddy said. "I'm Bella," Bella told Raelyn. "I know," Raelyn giggled. "I'm guessing it's going to take awhile for your foot to heal," Teddy said. "I fell on it pretty hard," Bella said. "I can see that," Raelyn said, looking at the documents of the injury. "Anywhere you want to go today?" Teddy asked. "Well, two of my friends are trying out for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team at like 6:30," Bella said. She knew the players just had to sign up by 5:45 in the morning to be able to come. Harry and Ginny both got there in time, and are getting ready to go. "It's six. If we go now, we could get there in time," Raelyn said. Bella tried to get up, and then failed. She looked around for Hermione. "She left a little bit ago," Teddy said, knowing what Bella was going to ask. He came around to the other side of the bed, and helped Bella stand up. He gave her her crutch, and Bella began walking on it. "Slow down, you are going to break your other foot," Teddy warned jokingly. Bella walked beside Teddy and Raelyn, before realizing she didn't know what house Raelyn was in. "She's in Gryffindor," Teddy said to her. "How do you know what I'm thinking?" Bella asked. "I can't tell you," Teddy murmed. "Why not?" Bella said loudly, walking slower. "Not here," Teddy said in a low voice. "Now shut up about it," Teddy said a little more aggresivly. Bella took the hint, and stopped asking. Teddy and Raelyn helped Bella down the steps, when Teddy finally decided to have her ride a scooter designed for this type of situation. They were going on hills, and it would take awhile with the crutch. Raelyn used her spell knowledge and shrunk the crutch to fit in her pocket. Bella rolled down the hill on the scooter. Bella entered the stands, and found a seat next to Hermione. "Hey!" Bella exclaimed, and gave Hermione a gentle hug. "Hey!" Hermione greeted, scooting over to make room for her company. "Who are they?" Hermione asked. "This is Teddy and Raelyn," Bella said. "Haven't I seen you too around?" Hermione asked. "I'm sure you have," Raelyn replied. "So, Bella, I was talking to Maizy, and her parents pulled her!" Hermione said to Bella. "What?" Bella questioned, feeling her voice crack. "They decided to send her to Beauxbatons instead," Hermione stated. "But why?" Bella asked. Hermione shrugged. Bella felt somewhat broken inside, even though she hadn't even known Maizy that long, or really developed a good friendship yet. She turned to Teddy. "Do you guys play Quidditch?" Bella asked, trying to shake off the last sentence. "We did, but it began to get more popular when Harry Potter began to play, so we kinda backed out," Raelyn said. "What positions?" Bella asked. "I'm a Beater, and Teddy's a Keeper," Raelyn answered. "I'm a Chaser," Bella said. "I would go to Tryouts, but-" Bella said, then implied her foot. "Ah, I see," Teddy said. Bella pretty muched talked with Raelyn, Teddy, and Hermione the entire Tryouts, until it was over. Bella got back her crutches, and walked down to the field, where Harry, Ron, and Ginny were walking back to the dressing rooms. "Hey guys," Bella said. The three of them came running at her. "You got out?" Ron asked excitedly. "Yup," Bella answered. "Are you alright?" Ginny asked. "I'm perfectly fine," Bella said. "How'd I do?" Harry asked awkwardly. Hermione elbowed him the the stomach. Bella smiled at him. "You did amazing," Bella said. "They are so in love," Hermione whispered to Ginny, so Bella couldn't hear. "So much," Ginny whispered back.
