Chapter 3
When Bella finally came back concious, Hermione and Ginny were the only people on her face. Bella managed to open her eyes fully, and though it was hard, she squeezed a sentence out. "How long?" was all she managed to accomplish. She tried to say 'how long was I out?' but it took too much strenghth, and that was the one thing Bella was sure she didn't have. Bella tried to peer who was behind them, before discovering they were alone. "The boys went to Harry and Ron's room," Ginny answered, knowing what she was looking for. Before Bella could even think, she blurted, "I saw colors," as fast as she could. Hermione and Ginny gasped, then gave each other a glance. "Harry," Hermione said under her breath. "I'll tell Sirius," Ginny said. Before Bella could say no, Ginny was out of the door. "He won't be happy," Bella guessed. Hermione tried to neglect it, but she eventually muttered, "yup," and Bella's heart sunk. She barely have even got to know him before she passed out. That must have looked so bad. Bella turned red with embarrassment. Sirius then came into the room, right before Ginny came crashing back on the bed. "Bella, are you alright?" Sirius asked. "I'm fine, dad," Bella answered. "Just checking," Sirius said. There was a long pause, until Sirius broke it. "Harry?" Sirius asked. Bella shrugged, and turned red again. "My own godson," Sirius muttered. "My actual son," He said again. Bella blushed. "Unless she breaks the system," Hermione said with a smirk. Bella turned to her. "What?" Bella asked, confused. "These color things are a scam," Hermione said. "You can marry whoever you want, and live with them forever," Ginny said, dumbing it down. "But isn't the point of the soulmate/color thing to find someone to marry?" Bella asked, as if that was obvious. "Well, yeah, but not everyone will marry someone. Besides, you might not even truly love your soulmate," Hermione said. "If Harry and Bella want to be together, there is nothing stopping that," Sirius said to Hermione and Ginny. Then he turned to Bella. "But that doesn't mean you're forced to," He said softly. Bella finally understood. Sirius patted her knee, and stood up. "I'd get some rest, this will be a long day tomorrow," Sirius said. Bella sighed, and drew the covers over her as Sirius left. He turned the lights off, and bid them goodnight.
The next morning, Bella woke up to Ginny digging in their closet. "What are you doing?" Bella asked, wiping her eyes. "Finding you a good outfit," Ginny answered coldly. Bella didn't know whether to be offended, or be happy she didn't have to wear the same thing again. Hermione was already up and reading History of Magic in the corner. "Hermione, why are you studying already?" Bella asked her. "Never too late to get a head start. It's O.W.L year, I will have so much to do, and not time for anything else," Hermione said. Bella knew that was smart, and she should probably join her, but then she remembered she doesn't have her exams until next year, and what's the point of studying if nothing big is coming. They have the end of year exam, but the O.W.Ls are different. If you fail something important, you can't get to N.E.W.T level, and then you will be helpless to the Wizarding World. You'll be unemployed your whole life, because you sucked at school. It's alot to think about, but Bella decided to not worry about it. After a while, Hermione folded her page, and stood up. "It's a few after seven," Hermione said. Time for breakfast. Great. Bella got up and followed Hermione and Ginny downstairs. Bella entered the kitchen, and took a seat on the corner, next to Hermione. Harry sat down opposite her. Sirius was on the short end of the table like a king at a banquet. Bella tried to avoide eye contact with Harry, but it was more awkward with Sirius there. When everyone got their breakfast out, Sirius began to break the awful silence. "So, we have a matter to discuss," Sirius started. "Okay," Harry said. Bella loved her tone of voice. It was wasn't deep, but not to too high. It was perfect, it seemed. "Bella, has seen colors," Sirius said. Bella turned bright red, and moved her eyes toward her eyes and toast, thinking about sinking into the chair. "Oh! Congratulations! Who is it?" Harry asked, oblivious. This very comment made Bella blush even harder. "Well," Sirius said, shifting his gaze to Harry. "Do we really have to tell him, or is he this stupid?" Fred blurted. Harry then realized. "What? No!" Harry stuttered. "I just met her!" He added. "That doesn't mean you won't grow closer," Sirus objected. Harry moved his glance to Bella. "But I don't like her! I like Cho!" Harry blurted, not paying attention to what he is saying. Cho. She is two years older that Bella, and she is in her house. Bella had always wanted to get closer with her. "It's fine," Bella said to him, trying not to make him feel bad. "Harry, why are you being so selfish? Are you trying to hurt her feelings?" Ginny shouted at him. "Well, she should know how I feel!" Harry shouted back, a little louder. "It can be handled not directly in front of her!" Ginny shouted back. Bella tried hard to consume her emotions. "Ginny, seriously, i'm fine! Harry, I didn't even want anyone to mention this. Just because we have nothing romantic between us doesn't mean we can't be friends," Bella shouted, breaking their argument. Bella pushed her food away. "I'm done for now," Bella said, and went back to her room. "Great. Really have outdone yourself," Ginny said sarcastically to Harry, and stormed after Bella. Hermione felt bad, being caught in between, but then pushed her hair back, and followed Ginny. "OoOooOooooOoo," fred and George said together softly. "Oh shut up," Harry said angrily. Sirius began to eat again, shaking his head. "You guys will end up together," Sirius predicted. "Sirius! I don't love her, and I don't intend on it either," Harry said. "Just wait until she's with someone else," Sirius said. "Then you'll realize how much you do," He added. And with that, Harry stormed off to his room leaving only a few people speechless.
