Quidditch in the Orchard
Chapter 10
After everyone finished with their presents, they all agreed on playing Quidditch, as Ginny said there was an open area in the Orchard. Bella hated the fact watching them play while she couldn't but she went anyways. "Oh please let me play!" Bella begged. "Not over my dead body," Teddy said firmly. "Teddy, I'm fine!" Bella pleaded. "Your foot is seriously injured, and you're expected to heal in more than a year!" Hermione said. All of the Weasleys came to play, except Percy, who claims he has more important matters to attend to. Bill, Ron, Charlie, and Ginny were on one team, and Harry, Fred, George, and Teddy were on the other. Bella kept pleading to play but Teddy and Harry both said no. When Bella finally gave up, she took a seat in the grass, next to Hermione. "I'm sorry," Hermione said. "This foot thing is ruining my life!" Bella complained, a tear falling from her eye. "Think about it this way. If you didn't hurt your foot, you never would have met Teddy," Hermione said. Bella turned her head in suprise to Hermione. "I know about it," Hermione said with a giggle. "How?" Bella asked. "We never told anyone," She added. "I'm not stupid. I can tell. It's the way you look at him," Hermione said. "I've never seen it before," She added. Bella leaned her head against Hermione's shoulder. "What about the Proclamation?" Bella asked slowly. "Harry doesn't mind. Or at least, I think he doesn't. I don't even like Cho anyways. I'd rather him date you," Hermione said. Bella smiled. "But you don't want to date him," Hermione said. "You want to date Teddy," Hermione said, leaning her head ontop of Bella's. Bella lifted her head, and nodded. Just then, Teddy gave a loud cheer for about ten-twelve feet in the air. "Up 20-10, take that!" Teddy yelled excitedly. Bella chuckled. Hermione helped Bella up, and they walked closer to the game. They looked up at the boys playing (and ginny) and then raced back toward the house, Bella, going as fast as she could. Hermione helped her up the stairs, and into the very top room, where she and Ginny were staying. They opened the window, and had a perfect height of the game, just a little farther away. There was a balcony on the end, and Hermione opened the door leading to it. They were closer and much higher up now, and Bella watched as the sun set. It was only 5:30, but Daylight Savings happened to take place. Bella watched as the game went on, feeling more sadder and sadder the minute. Eventually, as Ginny scored a shot, a tear rolled down her eye. Praying Hermione didn't notice, Bella quickly wiped the tear off, and put on a better face. But Hermione did notice. "You must miss it," Hermione said. "More than anything," Bella said, breaking down. Hermione let Bella ly her head down on shoulder. "Do you know Brooklyn?" Hermione asked. "or Brooke," She added. "I think i've heard of her. She's in my year?" Bella said, wiping her eyes. "Yes. Well, Brooke is my sister," Hermione said. Bella's head shot up. "You have a sister?" Bella asked. "Yes, I've had a sister for fourteen years," Hermione said smartly. Bella's mouth dropped. "But that's not the point," Hermione said. "Then what is the point?" Bella asked. "I think you would really like her!" Hermione said. "How do you know?" Bella asked. "How about you meet me at the Library on the first Friday after we get back?" Hermione said. Then Bella turned her head to look at a figure coming closer through the air. Then, Teddy was there on his broomstick. "Love, you should go back inside. It's gonna get dark. We've all agreed we wanted to keep playing, but it's gonna go on a little longer," Teddy said. "Can you ask Ginny if she could be done for the night?" Bella asked tenderly. "I'll try," Teddy said. Teddy then gave her a quick kiss, and zoomed off. Hermione tried to hide a smile, but untimately failed.
