Chapter 5
"Umm, H-Harry?" I stuttered.
"Yeah, err, what's your name?" He replied.
I blinked before answering.
"Err, Leilani. Leilani Potter..."
Now it was Harry's time to widen his eyes. He looked at me, then he looked at Ron, and then gave me a bigger hug than the famous Weasley Bear Hug. I started to cry, but not tears of sadness, tears of joy. I started tapping Harry. Although I was used to bear hugs, I couldn't breathe.
"Harry....Can't...Breathe.." I managed to say. At that point, he finally realized that I needed oxygen to survive. I gasped when he let go of me. Harry, Ron, and I broke out into a fit of laughter.
"Anything off the trolley, dears?" A kind looking woman asked.
"No thanks, I'm all set," Ron said, holding up a smashed sandwich.
She glared at Harry.
"We'll have the lot," he said, holding up a bag of Galleons. Ron looked surprised, but I wasn't the slightest bit phased. Harry and I had inherited a small fortune from our parents.
Ron was about to cast a spell when suddenly, a girl with frizzy brown hair appeared in the doorstep.
"Has anyone seen a toad?" She asked. "A boy named Neville's lost one-" We shook our heads. "Oh are you doing magic? Well, let's see then,"
Ron cleared his throat. "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow!" A Bertie Bott's container flew off of Scabbers', Ron's rat, head.
"Are you sure that's a real spell? Well, it's not very good, is it? Of course I've only tried a few simple spells myself, and they've all worked for me. For example..." The girl goes over and sits across from Harry. He points her hand at his glasses and Harry tenses. "Oculus Reparo." His glasses, which noseband was battered, are repaired. Harry takes them off, amazed. "That's better, isn't it? Holy Cricket, you're Harry Potter. I'm Hermione Granger...and you are...?" Hermione says, glaring at Ron.
"Ron Weasley," He says, with a mouth full of food.
"Pleasure." She says, with a disgusted look on her face. "You'd better change into your robes. I expect we'll be arriving soon," She walks out and then comes back. "You've got dirt, on your nose, by the way, did you know? Just there," She points at Ron's nose, and he, clearly embarrassed, rubs it off. Ron and I exchanged glances. Bloody good first impression, eh?
We all change into our robes before getting off of the train.
"Right, then! First years! This way, please! Come on, now, don't be shy! Come on now, hurry up!" I see the large man that took Harry and I to our current houses.
"Hello, Harry," He says, then he notices me. "Blimey! I haven't seen you in so long! How've you been, Leilani?" He says, shaking my hand.
"G-good.." I stutter. I had no idea why I was being so shy.
"Rubeus Hagrid, keeper of keys and grounds at Hogwarts."
"I remember you. You took Harry and I to our houses," I said.
"You've got a sharp memory, Leilani, most people don' remember before they were 3, anyway we've got to get to Hogwarts," He says. "This way to the boats! Come on, now, follow me!" He yells.
A lot of boats are sailing across a lake, and Ron, Harry, and I. We are shocked at the sight of Hogwarts.
"Wicked," Ron says.
We get to the castle, and inside, a woman that looks like she could be my grandmother is waiting for us.
