Introduction To Echo Flowers

Chapter 1

Echo Flowers are a special type of flower only found in the darkest depths of any place you could find. Their specialty is to echo, hence the name. Echo meaning if you were to talk into the flower, it would repeat until it's had someone else talk into it. Echo Flowers are very strange plants, and many wizards and witches have tried to figure out why the plant "echoes," but before they found the answer, it would die out, as if it were keeping the answer a secret. Only one known wizard has found the answer, but died straight afterwards. This wizard was named Henrick Kane Ghaster. Wizards and witches from all over have read his notes and discoveries, but still couldn't find out the answer. The last things Ghaster wrote were, "...I've figured it out! The answer! Everyone will be so proud! It's s x (t +." He never finished the formula, but some were able to make out that s = measurement in sound and t meaning amount of time. One theory, The Echo Theory, was about figuring out what sound x time would be and why it was part of the Echo Flower's formula. For instance, someone would say, "Hello," into the flower, and it would keep saying, "Hello," either until it has died or has had someone else said something into it. The average life span of an Echo Flower is about 100 years. So 100 x "Hello," would be "Hello," 100 times. But if it were, "The weather is great," it would be 400 times. This is because we are multiplying the amount of words by the life span of an Echo Flower. Other witches and wizards multiply by letters to get a more accurate answer. "The weather is great," would be 16 x 100. 16 x 100 would equal 1600. And it goes on and on.
