History Of Healers
Chapter 3
The first Healers were actually the some of the first recorded workers in Wizarding history. Although they didn't have the same method as today, they did for a fact have methods that worked just as well as today's.
Many Muggles in olden times believed that Healers were "witches" who used the Earth to heal the wounded and sick. But they were wrong. Many Muggles were jealous of the powers of Healers and decided to kill them. This was the time period (the 8th-19th century) in which witch trials were created.
Some of the most famous trials (such as the Salem Witch Trials) were ones with competitions in which the Healers would be required to do numbers of tasks that were so amateur to them but were naive to the Muggles. One competition was one where the Healers would be thrown into the water to see if they could swim and float. Many did. They were put up for other contests. Surprisingly, this was fun for Healers. They and regular witches and wizards would find this funny. Instead of burning them, fire would actually tickle the competitors!
This bad treatment was bored into Muggles for centuries. They considered all witches and wizards "inferior" to them, although it is a known fact that they are incorrect, for we are more advanced and powerful than them!
