General things I added to Hogwarts

Classes always start 3 days after students arrive at Hogwarts. During these 3 days older students can unpack and catch up, while younger Students can settle in and get toured around the castle by other students. Older students can sign up to show first years of their own house around and answer questions.

There is an internal floo network at Hogwarts. It is impossible to travel outside the castle with it and impossible to access from outside castle grounds (I'm not gonna walk up all those stairs)

Each dormitory has small kitchens for students to prepare snacks and food for themselves if they wish to. Each kitchen has a fridge with a magical wishlist. All you need to do is write whatever you want on the whishlist and it will be in your fridge once you open it.

Before each year starts students can put in their wished dorm arrangements. You can request to have a single dorm or wish for specific roommates, If you don’t send anything in, you will be placed randomly. It is possible and common to share a room with upper or under class men to some extent. The age gap is usually about 2 years at maximum.

after year 4 students can leave the school grounds freely with the permission of their parents or guardians.

Second to last week before summer break there are multiple classtrips students can apply for. Each trip has different application criteria, like age, year, house, classes and clubs.
