BLAST-ENDED SKREWT:
XXXX dangerous/needs special training
The offspring of a Fire-Crab and Manticore (bred by Hagrid, breaking the experimental breeding ban enacted in 1965 - a rumor states he was given premisson to breed them for the Triwizard Tournement). They have poor vision and instead use their hearing.
They have a protective shell on their bodies and their skin is covered by a thin layer of tough plates. During the 1994-1995 school year, Hargid had tried to teach his class about them but they were too aggressive.
It's body serves as a natural defence against most attacks. It has a foot-wide mouth that can bite. They are venomous. The females have a sucker that will suck the blood. Only the males have a stinger, which is also loaded with poison - similar to a Scorpion. They have a fiery-rear end like the Fire-Crabs.
Their only weakness is the underside of their stomach where there is no protective armour.
