Lesson 01/05 Notes: Gnomes & Dixies

Chapter 5

GNOMES:

XX harmless

Small brown creatures standing at one foot. They are mainly viewed as pests (living near homes of wizards and witches). There are two methods to remove them; the jarvey method or the spin and toss method. A jarvey is a predator to gnomes, which may cause a mess using this way. The spin and toss method is more favourable for this reason as it doesn't make a mess. Simply grab the gnome by its legs and spin it until it is visibly dizzy...then toss it as far as you can. Gnomes do bite, if bit by gnome infection may happen. Symptoms include; swelling, inflammation, fever, fatigue and/or tenderness or limpness around the infected area.

DOXY:

XXX competent, wizards should cope

Also known as the biting fairy, it flies. It has distinct blue skin and an extra set of arms and legs. Doxies create their nests behind things that move often (ex. curtains). A Doxy can lay 500 eggs at a time. The best way to get rid of them is with Doxycide. Their teeth will easily puncture human skin and they are venomous. The best cure is the antidote to common poisons. Some are allergic to this antidote so be aware of an allergic reaction; redness, pain, swelling, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and wheezing.
