Lesson 01/04: There’s magic in all of us

MAGIC IN THE AIR:
- For a plant to be magical, it must have “odd behaviour” and/or a “unique ability” (ie. Creeping Ivy can move at its own will).
- Non-magical plants does not mean ineffective.
- Magical plants contain sentience, meaning they have the capacity to be aware of their surroundings.
- Non-magical plants are less responsive in potions.
ROSES:
Classes as a shrub and can grow anywhere to (20ft in height)& (2-4ft in width). They need to be planted in soil with a pH of 5.5-7.0. Introduce Dragon dung for optimal soil nutrients. Properties of roses were said to be discovered in first century BCE by a naturalist & philosopher called “Pliny the Elder” - he discovered 32 medicinal uses (now there are 40). Some uses include;
Eye diseases, cataracts, burns, influenza, stomach issues (diarrhea/constipation), snow blindness, sore throats, nosebleeds, kidney stones & promoting kidney function, headaches, cold/flu symptoms, stress & anxiety, blood thinning, acne, muscle pain, depression, menstrual issues, inflammation, insomnia & viral/bacterial infections.
