This book is intended for all who need a quick study reference guide for DADA-301. It has a glossary of terms & its appropriate meanings for the entire course. Each chapter is based on a lesson; where it won't go into grave detail, but will give you the necessary components to study for upcoming tests & assignments. This does not include mid-term & final exams. All detailed information about each topic is in your official lessons with the Professor. DO NOT COPY AS IT IS PLAGIARISM!

Chapter 1

Amortal ⊱ A non-living, conscious creature.

Boggart ⊱ A creature which takes the form of a person's fear. Use the Riddikulus Charm to defend yourself, as they hate laughter.

Dhampir ⊱ Half human & half vampire hybrid. They have the appearance of a human, but will not have the vampire thirst for blood. They are slightly pale & can have a supernatural ability. They can have either speed or strength, but cannot have both abilities. They also have a longer lifespan, but not the amount of a vampire.

Fear of the Conscious ⊱ The fear of interpretations. Things that we think will affect or harm us.

Fear of the External Physical ⊱ The fear of creatures or being stabbed. Things that can affect us externally.

Fear of the Internal Physical ⊱ The fear of poison or heart attack. Things that can affect us internally.

Fear of the Physical ⊱ The fear of physical things harming you.

Hades ⊱ The Underworld's god.

Hinkypunk ⊱Also known as Min Min Light, Brujas, & Fi Fillet. They take the shape of a shadow figure & use the advantage of just out of direct sight. To defend yourself, use the Wand-Lighting Charm & the Knockback Jinx.

Hollow ⊱ An indent on a creature's head.

Immobilization Charm ⊱ This charm aims to freeze your target for a limited amount of time. The more targets you want to freeze, the more concentration & willpower you will need.

Kappa ⊱ A creature with a hollow on their head filled with water. Also known as Kawa Wappa in Japanese. Kawatario & Kawako are also other translated names. To defend yourself, use a cucumber.

Lycanthropy ⊱ A disease which causes a human to transform into a werewolf. This disease is named after the original werewolf, Lycaon. To become infected with Lycanthropy, one must be bitten by a werewolf.

Non-Wizard Part-Human ⊱ A policy which classifies werewolves, magical beings, & beasts.

Oracle ⊱ People who see the future by communicating with the gods.

Red Cap ⊱ A creature that is similar to a goblin & a dwarf. They are three to four feet in height & they have a green skin tone. They also have red eyes. To defend yourself, use the Beautification Potion on its cap, as they will see themselves as ugly & will flee.

Revulsion Jinx ⊱ Will force the target to let go of its grip so you can go to safety. If you cast the spell above water, a purple light will emit from your wand. If you cast the spell underwater, a stream of boiling water will emit from your wand.

Tuberculosis ⊱ A bacterial illness that effects the lungs, which can lead to death & can spread quickly to others nearby.

Vampire ⊱ Nocturnal creatures who avoid the sunlight. They drink human & animal blood, though human is primary. Once they feed, they can survive up to five days. Wear garlic gloves or hang them around your home to defend yourself against a vampire.

Werewolf ⊱ A human most of the time, but when a full moon appears, they appear as a wolf. The Leg-Locker Curse, the Immobilization Charm, & the Full Body-Bind Curse can be used to defend yourself.

Werewolf Code of Conduct ⊱ A policy requiring all werewolves to lock themselves up every full moon so they would not attack others.

Werewolf Register ⊱ The names & whereabouts of any werewolf in an area.
