Anna looked calmly at the house across the lake, at the girl with blonde curls looking at her. She took off her shoes and walked to the girl with the blonde curls.

Chapter 2

Anna never spoke in the car, going to the doctor made her feel that she was "abnormal", not like other people. She didn't like talking to people because they were monsters to Anna. She wrote monster in her sketchbook and then started to play with the letters of the word monster. Before she could finish she realised that the car had stopped, she sighed deeply and slowly got out of the car with her mother. "I can't even breathe properly, what am I doing properly?" she thought in the waiting room. She closed her eyes slowly. She started counting the seconds by shaking her feet... Her doctor greeted Anna with a smiling face. She had the same doctor since she was five years old and sometimes even he forgot that Anna was not a little child. Okay, maybe she wasn't that big, but she wasn't little either. She put the chocolate bar in her drawing bag and watched indifferently as the doctor gave her a classic examination. She was so used to it by now. She waited for her doctor to give his usual speech and send her away. But this time the doctor looked worried. He started to make a different speech than she expected. Anna's doctor said that in order to prevent the recurrence of asthma attacks and to improve her health, she needed to go somewhere with clean air. That meant going somewhere completely foreign from where she lived, and Anna wasn't sure she wanted that, not even a little bit.

"I don't want" it in the car, she said firmly, and her mother looked at her with worried eyes for a while, "I promise it's only for a few days, and I'm sure you won't be a stranger. Your aunt and uncle complain that I haven't taken you with them for a long time, this city is too dirty for you, Anna. I know you'll like it there, and I'll buy the train ticket for you as soon as you write a letter saying you want to go back." Anna mumbled that she didn't want to, but she felt very tired. So Anna's parents took the doctor's suggestion seriously and wrote a letter to her aunt and uncle (telephones are not common) so that she could spend the summer holidays (they did not tell Anna that it was summer holidays). Her aunt and uncle were very happy and responded very well, saying that they would be happy to welcome Anna. Then the preparations for the journey began. While packing Anna's suitcase, the parents, who wanted to take good care of their daughter, gave Anna a few last instructions. "Anna, your aunts will be waiting for you in the seaside town. Take it easy and enjoy your holiday," Yoriko said. Anna nodded, but her lack of self-confidence still bothered her. When she arrived at the seaside town, Anna saw a marvellous view and thought that maybe it wasn't so bad after all. The waves of the sea lapped against the sand, seagulls danced in the sky and the fresh air enveloped her. Her aunt and uncle greeted her with smiling faces.

Her uncle was a joker and a madman who loved to carve wood. Her aunt was extremely maternal and very sweet, they had no children, so perhaps they were so excited about Anna. The tranquillity of the town and the beauty of nature began to relieve Anna's stress, and she spent most of her days drawing on the beach. Her aunt and uncle showed her the secrets and beauties of the seaside town. In the early days, Anna enjoyed walking on the beach and listening to the sound of the sea. Then one day she strangely noticed a place she had not noticed before, an old house lying across the town's lake. The roof of the house was slightly sunken and the windows were dusty and dirty. She took off her shoes and slowly took them in her hand...
