I found the tape in my drawer

Longing to be used, 

To be seen

Longing to create something

Or to fix

I wasn't looking for the tape

I wasn't expecting to see the tape in that drawer

I wasn't ready to pick it up

But i did

I tapped the ripped fragments 

And all the ripped pieces that had fallen to the floor

I can't remember the last time i saw those things whole,

Complete

Last time, 

The tape doesn't stick

It wore off

Peeled away

Fell down

Down

Down 

To the floor

But not this time

This time the tape stuck

It pressed onto the surface

And it stuck

It stayed

This time,

The love stayed

It stuck

And it remained
