How to guess what others are thinking at the moment

Tone of voice

If your friend's voice is higher than usual, that could be a sign that they are excited about something. On the other hand, if their voice is lower than usual, it could be a sign that they are talking about something serious, or that they are feeling down.

Volume of voice

If your friend's voice is small, it might be because they want to talk about something secret, or maybe because they don't have confidence in what they're saying. If your friend's voice is louder than usual, it is probably a topic that they are okay with letting everyone know about.

The speed in which they are talking

If your friend is speaking faster, it could mean that they are in a hurry to tell you something, or that they are trying to persuade you to do something. If they are speaking slower, it is a sign that they are relaxed.
