You may have noticed if you have read the Harry Potter books or may not have noticed, that this Hogwarts acceptance letter is different from Harry Potter's Hogwarts acceptance letter,in that the names of the headmaster/headmistress and Hogwarts professor signing the letter are different(thats because its a long time since Harry Potter studied at Hogwarts and most teachers have retired or left Hogwarts and been replaced),and also in that it does not include any course books, the reason for that being now in Hogwarts, first years no longer require any mandatory textbooks for their classes. But some textbooks from the original list of textbooks in Harry Potter's Hogwarts acceptance letter such as Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger(now available in the Hogwarts library as Magical Drafts And Potions by Arsenius Jigger, third reprint of the original version, edited with relevant footnotes by Professor Draekon) and A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot(now available in the Hogwarts library as A History Of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot, reprinted and edited by Headmistress Oshiro) are highly recommended or welcome as an extra read by the respective professors of the subjects.
Some more textbooks from Harry Potter's Hogwarts acceptance letter that are still available as a reprint in the Hogwarts library are:-
1.A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch,reprinted and edited,by ❤Melody Marvolo Riddle❤
2.One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore,as One Thousand Magical Herbs And Fungi by Phyllida Spore, reprinted and edited,by Emily
3.The Standard Book of Spells(Grade 1) by Miranda Goshawk as The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk, reprinted and edited,by Selena
4.Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffling(this book is actually not available currently in the Hogwarts library,an unfinished book trying to deliver something about magical theory called The magical theory by Carin James is available.)
5.Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander as Fantastic Beasts and where to find them by Newt Scamander, reprinted and edited,by Faith Dawson, and as Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander, reprinted and edited,by Alex Anderson
The textbook from Harry Potter's Hogwarts acceptance letter that is not available in the current Hogwarts library is The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble.
Earlier, magical children who were purebloods and halfbloods recieved the letter via owl post, and muggle-born magical children were delivered their letter personally by a Hogwarts staff member who would go over to their house to explain to their parents. Now,due to the enormously increasing number of students at Hogwarts,muggle-born children also recieve their letter via owl post and no Hogwarts staff member is sent over to explain. However, nowadays, due to the popularisation of Harry Potter in the muggle world via the Harry Potter books and movies, most muggle-born children and their parents already know what the letter means.
