The magical social media is different from any muggle media.It is a social media used only by and accessible only to witches and wizards studying at or graduated from Hogwarts,which works on muggle devices but without any muggle internet connection,by magical means.Many witches and wizards to whom the magical social media is accessible buy muggle devices from suppliers who bring in devices from the muggle world or from manufacturers who mimic the muggle devices.The magical social media can be accessed by typing Hogwarts is Here on the search area used by muggles and then tapping the search button used by muggles,and features social media accounts and profiles of witches and wizards showing the Hogwarts house they are sorted into,house points earned until then by the witch or wizard(which is magically updated onto their social media profile),a short bio written by the witch or wizard themselves and their feed which is comprised of posts by themselves or others.You can make an account on this social media platform just like muggle social media platforms and follow each other among the others on it(you can see your followers and the ones you are following).It has a magical profile picture and cover photo which you need to upload after both of them being clicked by a magical photographer(magical photographs are movable,and not still,unlike muggle photographs,and have the same features as magical portraits or paintings) which means you in your photograph can move from one of your photographs to another.

This magical social media platform is called the HiH.The word HiH in the title of the book "The Guide to the HiH Library" by Headmistress Oshiro,is actually a pun intended for Hogwarts students who prefer posting on social media or reading social media posts over reading library books,and actually means the Hogwarts castle library instead of the magical social media platform HiH.Simarly,everytime I mentioned HiH until now in this book,I was using the same pun and meant the Hogwarts castle,for example when I wrote "In HiH,you will inevitably be part of the Great Hall",I actually meant "in the Hogwarts castle,you will inevitably be part of the Great Hall" and the Groups and Clubs section,Academics section and other sections I mentioned are real offices at Hogwarts castle,opened recently,but from now onwards in this book,I will only use HiH to indicate the social media platform and use Hogwarts castle to indicate the castle.

The HiH is only the magical social media platform.It works only inside the Hogwarts castle.Any other functions on a muggle device including internet and phone network connection go haywire inside the Hogwarts castle only to come back when the device is taken back to a muggle area.However,the magical social media platform HiH is the only thing on a muggle device that works inside the Hogwarts castle and becomes simultaneously inaccessible when the muggle device is taken back to a muggle area.The only thing that works on a muggle device inside the Hogwarts castle is the magical social media platform,HiH,which works by magical means and not by muggle internet or other muggle forms of communication.HiH however has no provision for sending messages or communicating,except in the form of posts and comments on them,so you must send owls with letters inside the Hogwarts castle to communicate private messages.

HiH is a relatively new development in the Hogwarts castle and while every modern witch or wizard has a social media profile on it,some of the older witches or wizards may not be aware of it.

The HiH social media platform was first used by the Hogwarts administrative staff to circulate the new rules and restrictions and changes in the castle and castle rules among the witches and wizards,and to answer questions and queries about them,and hence these information are still available on the HiH social media platform under "More at HiH" under the headings of HiH user guide,FAQs and Code of Conduct.There is also a heading called Who's Online under More at HiH which helps you to see the witches and wizards currently using the social media platform in real time.
