Chapter 1
So why are you at Hogwarts? If you are here at Hogwarts,it means you are of magical blood, that means you are a witch or wizard.Being a witch or wizard means, you are a human born with magical blood, which means you can perform magic, and if trained to control this magic, you can perform magic at will and according to will.(Anyone who does not have magical blood in them,is called a muggle if descended from both parents without magical blood, and a squib if descended from atleast one parent with magical blood. The part of the world occupied by people with magical blood and their children, even if squibs,is known as the wizarding world, while the part of the world occupied by muggles and their children is known as the muggle world). The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry identifies, accepts, and attempts to train such magical children to control their magic and perform magic at and according to will.If you are here,it means that you recieved a Hogwarts acceptance letter, addressed to you by your name, and your address, informing you that you have been accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. So that means you must be a witch or wizard.
Let me explain to you.Hogwarts has an enchanted magical quill which automatically notes down the names of magical children(children with magical blood,or those who have magical abilities)into a large parchment book by automatically detecting the birth of magical children. This applies to any magical children, purebloods(those born to both magical parents),half bloods(those born to one magical parent and one muggle parent),and muggle-borns(those born to both muggle parents).Every year,a Hogwarts professor checks this book and sends a Hogwarts acceptance letter on behalf of the headmaster/headmistress,signed by the Hogwarts professor, including an enclosed list of required materials such as uniforms, books, telescope for astronomy, and potions brewing and protections equipments etc,to all children whose names are on the parchment book, and who have turned eleven on that year.
So thats how you got your Hogwarts letter, and thats why you are here.
I would suggest you to read all the seven volumes of Harry Potter books and the eighth addition about his son as well and/or watch the Harry Potter movies because that will give you a lot of information on the magical world and help you gain a lot of perspective on what the magical world is like.Do not watch only the Harry Potter movies as that will lead you to miss out on a lot of information that is cut out in the movies, compared to the books.
