The Evalution Of The Flying Broomstick
Chapter 1
Broomsticks didn't just appear out of thin air. Levitation was not a very easy thing. If those who are Animagi and can turn into flying animals, could experience the amazing feat. But, witches and wizards of the time wanted to be able to fly without the inconvenience of growing wings. So in 1674, William Mosters, decided to invent a device to bring a witch or wizard into air. Yet, that was not easy. It took many years for Mosters to create the first flying broomstick. You can see many of his prototypes in the Quidditch History Museum. You can also see his first broomstick in the museum. Back to the facts, he needed many years to create a broomstick. He needed a little help. In 1780, he found a partner. John Camman was fit for the job. When he started to work for Mosters, Mosters caught Flappman disease. He died in a few months. Camman used Mosters old files to create a broomstick. The first broomstick was called a Jet. It was slow and it was hard to turn corners and control it. It was also very uncomfortable. Eventually, in 1810, the comfort spell was used on it. Now, it was soft and more comfortable. Francis Clayman, a broomstick rider since they were invented, had great discomfort when riding before the comfort spell. See the Quidditch History Museum the discomfort he experienced. The broomsticks were invented. But what to use them for?
