Dumbledore’s Yule Ball Pork Chops
Ingredients:
· 2 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour · 1/4 Tsp Salt · Dash of Pepper · 3/4 cup Bread Crumbs · 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese · 1 1/2 Tsp Rubbed Sage · 1/2 Tsp Grated Lemon Peel · 1 Egg Lightly Beaten · 4 Bone in Loin Pork Chops · 1 Tbs Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil · 1 Tbsp. Butter |
Directions:
·In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper. In another dish,
combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, sage and lemon peel. Place egg in
shallow bowl.
· Coat pork chops in flour mixture, dip in
egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture. Let stand for 5 minutes.
· In a pan, brown chops in oil and butter
for 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Bake uncovered
for 10–15 minutes. Serve after slight cooling.
Kreacher’s French Onion Soup
Ingredients:
· 4 Tbsp Butter
· 1 Tsp Salt
· 2 Large Red Onions
(thinly sliced)
· 2 Large Sweet Onions
(thinly sliced)
· 1 (48oz) can Chicken
Broth
· 2 Tsp Red Wine Vinegar
· 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
Sauce
· 2 Sprigs Fresh Parsley
· 1 Sprig Fresh Thyme leaves
· 1 Bay Leaf
· 1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
· Salt and Pepper to Taste
· 4 Thick Slices French or
Italian Bread
· 8 Slices Swiss Cheese
Slices (room temp.)
· 1/2 cup Shredded
Mozzarella Cheese (room temp)
· 4 Pinches Paprika
Directions:
· Melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat. Stir in salt, red onions and sweet onions. Cook 35 min, stirring frequently, until onions are caramelized and almost syrupy. · Mix chicken broth, beef broth, red wine vinegar and Worcestershire sounce into medium sized pot. Bundle parsley, thyme, and bay leaf with twine and place in pot. Simmer over medium heat for 20 min, stirring occasionally. Remove and discard the herbs. · In large pan, reduce heat to low, mix in vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Cover and keep over low heat to stay hot with you prepare bread. · Preheat oven to broiler. Arrange bread slices on baking sheet and broil 3 minutes, turning once, until well toasted on both sides. Remove from heat, do NOT turn off broiler. · Arrange 4 large oven safe bowls or crocks on a rimmed baking sheet. Fill each bowl 2/3 full with hot soup. Top each bowl with 1 slice of toasted bread, 2 slices of cheese, and 1/4 of Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle paprika over top of each one. · Broil 5 min, or until bubbly golden brown. Serve immediately. |
Pumpkin Pasties
Ingredients:
· Pure Pumpkin · 1/2 cup white sugar · 1 Tsp Salt · 1 1/2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon · 1 Tsp Ground Ginger · 1/4 Cup Butter Melted · 1 Cup Sugar mixed with 1 Tsp. Cinnamon set aside · Store Bought Crescent Dough |
Directions:
· Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheets
with wax paper or aluminum foil.
· For dough: Separate crescent
dough and then set aside.
· For Filling: Mix the pumpkin,
egg, sugar, salt, cinnamon and ginger together until smooth. On a floured
surface, roll each dough ball out into a thin circle about 6 inches across;
spoon about 2-3 Tbsp. into center of dough circle.
· Fold the dough over the filling to make
a half-moon shaped pie and crimp the edges together with a fork. Gently lay the
pastries onto the prepared baking sheet.
· Brush the top of each pie with melted
butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
· Bake 11-13 minutes. Let cool to warm.
Serve.
