Quidditch Player Of The Issue – Anastasia Viranansky
Chapter 10
-Quidditch Player of the Issue – Anastasia Viranansky-
-Quidditch Player of the
Issue-
Anastasia
Viranansky is our Quidditch player of the issue, a young Russian in her late
twenties who has now been playing for ten years! After graduating school at the
age of seventeen, Anastasia pursued a career in sport and with a steely
determination was soon trying out for the Russian National team. She plays
beater and is said to be both agile and quick but not scared to take the lead
or a Bludger in the head. She played reserve beater for a while until she had
her chance to shine at a training match and her talent was obvious to the new
manager. Anastasia was then engaged as lead beater and has since proven that it
was a wise decision.
Anastasia
lived in Kazan, Russia, until she was eleven years old and then left for France
to enrol at Beaxbatons Academy of Magic. Anastasia was not altogether happy
here, she stated in an interview, as she was bullied for her strength and
sportiness that went against the femininity of Beaxbatons traditions. However,
she continued to play Quidditch and though considered Magizoology as a career
path, instead went with her hunch and braved the harsh world of wizarding
sport. Anastasia loves to walk in her home country and adores the snow. She
stated in an interview that her amortentia
is the smell of dark pine, glacé cherries, horses and broomstick polish.
