Another Boring Introduction
Chapter 1
As you might realize, unless you're like me who is a helpless baby who needs a friend to enroll me properly, all classes in week one are introductions which becomes significantly boring by the third intro. I won't give you a recap on all of them because I can't, they're too boring. All the intros talk about is technique, history, precautions, expectations and other boring stuff. The thing is you read all this so that you're prepared for your first quiz. If you get a 90 you receive 9 points and so on. The only reason you care about doing well is because house pride is everything. I did well on quizzes despite the fact that I was completely lost. I also wrote at least 400 words in for extra credit so that I would have more points but pretty quickly I realized this which might help you: You will never feel like you're the best at anything, there will always be someone better than you. My good friend has 62 points. How did she do it ( ? ) is my question because when it comes to points I can't exactly help you, at all.
I started 5 classes and completed one week's worth of work in one night which is a bad idea, pace yourself. Also, take notes ( even mental ones ) because quizzes aren't always easy. You should probably write down your notes because I can't keep track of anything. Week one isn't the absolute worst but it is a slap on the face if you thought these would like simple did-you-know quizzes and it's kind of boring. My teacher in Charms taught me Lumos and Nox. Retake quizzes and do some extra credit, not all of it at once. I don't listen to any of these rules although I should. In some alien world called Earth I somehow got O's in all my classes. I don't know how. Maybe listen to some things I say, just maybe.
I do have to address houses though, I have been asking myself the same questions for a while, what if I'm equally two houses? The answer is I am ( Hufflepuff and Slytherin. There's a specific quiz online for this ) and that's okay but I already selected my house so... Nothing I can do. I get not changing houses but I'm not completely sure if I'm a Hufflepuff. Along with houses comes friends or even colleagues, if you're like me, you enrolled with your friends, you have a few friends but, you want to actually engage in this online school so you want to meet new people. I say talk to your house, just random comments here and there until you're comfortable. Then, try to have non-creepy conversations with people. I am no expert on this so I'm sorry in advance. Join clubs and forums and read more books like this. I'm not the most welcoming, nicest person always.
In conclusion: if you're anything like me this week ( or day ) was confusing and you got some help or stumbled through the dark. Eventually you got the hang of it and are doing ok-ish. You haven't gotten any new friends and this entire idea if Hogwarts still makes you hilariously happy. This week was boring but you made it out alive which is always a plus. Also you didn't get in any fights or duels ( I'm not sure if that's good or bad ).
