When the train screeched to a stop I felt that worried feeling again. I slowly got up from my seat and walked toward the train's exit. I felt a warm feeling when I saw my dad's old professor, Hagrid. He greeted me with a great smile and a big hug. I followed Hagrid with my head down and at the same pace as the other first years.

   I stared in amazement at the Hogwarts castle as we sailed across the lake in the little wooden boats. I could only imagine what it would look like on the inside if it was this beautiful on the outside. Once we got to the shore and climbed out of the boats, I couldn't wait til we got inside.

   Hagrid led us up the stairs to castle, through the doors, and up two more sets of stairs. Inside we met Linnelle Katterson, the new Gryffindor professor. She said to just wait where we were and she'll come back and get us in a moment. I just stood there while all of the other first years chatted. Someone made their way through the crowd and tapped me on the shoulder.

   This surprised me because it wasn't anyone I knew. It was a boy just slightly taller than me with bright blue eyes. He had brown hair and pale skin. He said "Who are you, oh wait I want to guess...a mixture of green eyes, orange hair, and a label on your robes saying that your name is Lilly Potter so I'm going to assume that your name is Lilly Potter and you're related to Harry Potter." I said "Yeah he's my dad and it's cheating if you just look at a person's name tag. Now who are you?" He just said "My name is..."and pointed at his name tag. His name tag said Leonardo Chang.

   Linnelle Katterson came back through the wide door and then brought the first years in. I was enchanted by everything in that room. Professor Fareman, the new headmaster, did his speech and then started off the sorting by saying a spell, "Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, both friends and enemies they may be, luck to you all, may you all get your correct house. A whole bunch of people got sorted into their houses before me. I really wish that I was the first one to be sorted because I was getting nervous that I might end up in a different house than my older brothers and sisters. When my turn to be sorted came, I was super nervous. I sat down on the stool and Professor Fareman put the sorting hat on my head. It was silent for at least 2 minutes, then it said, "I believe you belong in ... GRYFFINDOR!!!" Everyone in every house cheered.
