My family and I were at the entrance of platform nine and three quarters. Maria, Polly, and Christie went first. Nina and Susan went second with our mom. Albus, James, Kent, Lewis, Tony, and Will went next in groups of two. Our dad held me back and said that he wanted us two to go last but I knew that he just said that as an excuse to ask or tell me something.

   He asked me if my shoulder still hurt. It really did hurt but I lied to my father and said "No, it's fine." He asked me "Could I see it?" I said "Sure." He carefully lifted the left sleeve of my sweater and just stared at my scar. He let my sleeve fall back down. He slipped a tiny bottle of white powder labeled Floo Powder into my sweater pocket and said "In case of emergencies." I said "What do you mean?" He said "If something happens at school, throw it into the nearest fireplace and say our address. Hogwarts isn't as safe as it used to be. " Then we went through the barrier and I got on the train. I waved good-bye as the train headed toward Hogwarts. I held onto the Floo Powder and thought about what my father had said, "Hogwarts isn't as safe as it used to be"
