I stood in the washroom, looking in the mirror at the shooting star shaped scar I had gotten just two days ago. I was scared about what might happen to me in my future, but I was also worried about going into Diagon Ally and going to Hogwarts and of what everybody in the whole wizarding world would think about Lilly Potter, the girl who lived and the daughter of the boy who lived. I shook myself out of my thoughts and back into reality. I walked out of the washroom into the hall and saw my dad standing in the next to my doorway. I said "If you are waiting to tell me I have to hurry up and get dressed, I know." He said that getting dressed can wait but he still needs to talk to me.

   I went into my room with him and he asked me "Does it still hurt, your scar?" I said "Sort of." He said that it was still new and it should stop hurting by tomorrow. I asked him "You know the other day? When you told me that I had unknown powers. What did you mean by that? Why do I have them?" He said that I would have to wait until I was thirteen to find out my true powers.
