I walked over to the sofa and sat next to Draco and he wrapped his arm around me."Fine?" He asked
"Fine". I replied. Draco had got this 'fine' thing going since that night when Ron broke up with me. Who knows where from?
I still didn't know where me and Draco stood. Were we together or just friends? However, the Yule Ball was fast approaching; there was only a week left (the staff decided to hold it this year to celebrate the triumph over Voldemort). I still hadn't gotten a date. It was tradition for boys to ask girls and I was expecting Draco to ask me... but he hadn't. Maybe he was scared or maybe he was already going with someone? Anyway, I decided it was time to ask him.
"Draco" I said nervously.
"Yes?" He replied
"Um... well I was wondering, if you want to, only if you e-erm want to then we c-could um maybe...go to the Yule Ball t-together?" He was silent. Well done Hermione! Now look how uncormfatable you've made him feel!
"S-sorry." I stuttered "I g-guess not then"
"No" he said "I would love to go with you" he said looking into my eyes.
"Really?"
"Yes! Of course!" He laughed and hugged me tight. I embraced him.
