Prologue

Dad's still not home yet, he's never home. Only during holidays, I even made it my one Christmas wish he'd stay with us this year. I can't believe he'd leave his wife and their twelve year old daughter at home. *sighs* Maybe one day my wish will come true. Mom says he's always on important business trips, but I think she's not telling me something. Something just seems off, I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's the way Dad speaks to Mom. He never talks to me anymore, they speak like I'm not there.
"What should we do about her?"
"Should we send her there?"
Maybe they want to send me to an asylum! I'm perfectly sane... I think. I'm going to go to bed, I've got school tomorrow, I have three tests and an assignment to turn in.
