My name is Kindsey Lewis and this is the story that still seems like fiction. This is the story that started with the letter that appear upon my bed, while I was at muggle school. It is the story that seems like a mystery but really is not. This is the story of me and when I went to my first year at Hogwarts. This is the story of how it all happened.

I got home late from school that afternoon. My mother was already cooking dinner but didn't see me come in the kitchen.

"I just can't even imagine." She said. "I would never tell her any of it because maybe it will never happen."

My mother was on the phone. Probably with my Aunt Leann. My guess was they were probably gabbing about one of their friends and how awful she dressed for gardening club today.

"Mum!" I shouted, getting tired of just standing there. "You need to sign this."

 I handed her the detention slip. The reason why I was late. The third time this week.

"Hold on Lee. I have to deal with Kindsey." Mom sighed, hanging up her cell phone. "okay, spill. What happened this time?"

"Nothing. I was sitting in front of annoying Nancy and she keeps telling everyone I yanked on her stupid braid. But I didn't! It moved with the wind but I never touched it!" I said.

"Then how did the teacher and the students see it?" Mom said, looking at the detention slip.

"I have no clue but I swear I did nothing to her slimy hair. Or I would have lice, Mum. I would have lice!" I sighed. "I did nothing!"

"Kindsey, I have to believe the teacher. No matter how passionate you are. If multiple people witnessed the braid bouncing back, It happened!" Mom sighed.

"No mom. It bounced on it's own. It was like magic!" I shouted.

"Go to your room!!" mom suddenly shouted, springing to her feet.

"Why? What did I do this time?" I shouted.

"You used the forbidden word in the house! just go!!" Mom said.

I sighed heavily and stomped up the stairs and into my room. I flopped onto the bed and pulled my pillow onto my face. But instead of feeling the soft cotton, I felt paper. I pulled the pillow off my face to reveal an envelope.

I looked at the envelope with its weird red seal and weird addressing. It seemed to appear out of no where.

But that envelope that seemed to appear out  of almost nowhere was my ticket away from lying and annoying nancy. I was to bard the Hogwarts express next week at kings cross station at platform 9 and 3/4. I was going to run away to a new school where I was magic!
