"MUM! DAD! Wake up! I'm going to Hogwarts! I'm going to hogwarts! Get up, i don't want to be late! I can't believe it I am going to Hogwarts!" shouted Albus at the top of his voice while bouncing on his parents bed.

"Albus," replied Harry while smiling, "It is only half past seven! You don't need to worry about missing the train because we'll definitely set out early enough."

Ginny added "Since were up do you want some breakfast? You have a big day ahead of you dear. I think we should let James and Lilly get more sleep though"

3 hours later…

POP! The potter family had just arrived at the tightly-packed kings cross station. They hurried over to the magical enterance to platform 9¾   and ran through the barrier to see the magnificent sight of the glistening red hogwarts express. The platform was full of wizards and witches , some in muggle clothes and others dressed in their hogwarts uniform.

Together the hauled the suitcases into a compartment at the back that had been built for the students suitcases. Then they all gathered outside to say goodbye. Suddenly, Albus was worried. "Dad, what if i get sorted into Slytherin?" he asked.

"Don't worry Albus." said Harry, "Your mother and i will be proud of you wherever you go. You were named after two headmasters of hogwarts and one of them was a Slytherin, he was one of the bravest men i knew. And," then he whispered "You can ask the hat not to place you in Slytherin like i did." This satisfied Albus so he rushed on the train to meet other first years.

On the train, there was only one compartment left that wasn't full. In side there was a girl with short brown hair and blue eyes and a boy with pale skin and light blonde hair. Slowly he asked if he could sit with them and to his relief, they said yes.

"Hello, I'm Albus, Albus Potter. I'm new here, who are you?" He asked curiously.

The girl answered first,"hello Albus, i am Phoebe Lovegood and this is Scorpius Malfoy, were first years too." Albus sat down and they started talking. He ignored his uncle Ron's warning about Malfoys because he seemed to have a lot in common with scorpius.

Eventually, they got onto the topic of houses. "I'm hoping for Gryffindor like my parents.“ said Albus

"My father wants me to be in Slytherin like the rest of my family but I'm not sure that I want to," added Scorpius.

"I'm a muggleborn so i don't know much about the houses but Ravenclaw sounds good," replied Phoebe. Just then, the train stopped and they heard a booming voice

"Firs' years. Firs' years follow me!" Albus realised it must be hagrid so he and his new friends hurried along the train to find him.
