Lesson 2
The in last lesson, you learned about what muggles do in their lives daily. Today we will be learning about the relationships of wizards and muggles throughout history. This understanding of the relationship between wizards and muggles, will be the last key in introducing you to subject of Muggle Studies and sending you off with a vivid understanding of relationships and the ways that muggles of influenced our society. Remember, RELATIONSHIPS are a key part of Muggle Studies. To begin the warmup, please get out a piece of parchment and quill.
Warmup - Writing
You now know all about what muggles do from day to day. Now, using information from the last warmup, how do you think muggles use the objects that you both have differently and then answer the question:
"What are the differences between the activities that you do in your daily life and muggle activities of the same theme?"
Instructions - A History Of Muggles And Wizards Essay
Unlike your first project, you will be completing this project alone. Your teacher will have a stack of the book, Muggles and Wizards: a relationship through the ages, by Tommy Beater. When you are done reading these instructions, please go and grab a book, then open to chapter three and start reading. When you have finished reading, get out a piece of parchment and write an essay that answers these four questions:
Who were the first wizards to disconnect themselves from muggles?
What was the first muggle invention that had been adapted and modified for magical purpose?
How did the muggles forget about Hardin's Law of General Magic Adaptions?
Why are modern wizards different from there ancestors on the subject of magical protection and how does this affect the relationship between wizard kind and muggles?
Your essay has to be at least twenty centimeters long and have an introduction paragraph. This is due tomorrow so I would recommend working on it as homework if you have not finished it by the end of class.

Your homework is to finish what ever you did not in class and if you had finished, then you will you the worksheet on page 11.
