The Thieves
Chapter 3
I was in the Ravenclaw common room, writing my Astronomy essay. It was late at night and I was the only person still awake. Suddenly all the lights turned off. Don't panic! Somebody has probably cast a spell from his bed room. I took my wand and a clearly said "Lumos". I still didn't control this cast very well and the light at the end of my wand is not really bright, but I can still write my essay so I continue.
A few minutes later, I heard someone walking right behind me. The lights were still of. I stood up and looked around me, but I couldn't see anybody. I decided to do as if I wasn't there anymore. I packed all my books, took my bag and walked away. Then I whispered "Nox" and I came back in the room. I hid behind a couch and wait for another noises. "She went sleeping." "Are you sure?" "Yes, she took all her books." "Well know we can work properly!"
There were two wizard talking to each other and I was thinking about what they could be doing here when I heard someone saying "Spongify" followed by a huge metal noise and the other voice saying "It's the Quidditch cup! It's in metal, the spell doesn't work with metals"
I suddenly realized why they were there. The were stealing the Quidditch cup! I couldn't let this happen. I went out of my hiding place and shout the only defensive spell that I knew "Verdimillious!" "Verdimillious!" Of course my spells didn't reach their target. I couldn't see anything and I couldn't cast them properly. But I saw the faces of the two "thieves". It was the seeker and the captain of our Quidditch team.
"Luna! What are you doing? Do you want to wake up everybody?" asked the captain.
"No, but you are stealing the cup!" I was chocked and I didn't know what else to say.
"You really thought that we were thieves? We were just preparing a surprise for the rest of the team. Go to bed and you'll see that tomorrow." said the 16-years old seeker with a smile on his face.
That night I realized two things. First I shouldn't play the hero and second I really need to practice my spells more.
