"The wand chooses the wizard", these are the first words that I heard when I come in the wand shop. The famous Ollivander was saying that to another person in the room, a kid that should be around eleven, like me and like the most of the people in Diagon Alley that day. It's because we were the 30th of august and it was almost time to go to Hogwarts for the first time. I was really excited.

The room had a strong smell of wood and I liked it. All the wall were covered with wand boxes. There was a lot of  dust everywhere and that made me sneeze. I knew that all the famous wizards have been here before me to buy a wand and I couldn't wait to be officially part of the wizarding world. "WOW, that one is the right one!" I could here Ollivander shouting as excited as the child and then he turns to me and ask : "What can I do for you young witch?". 

I took me a moment to realize that he was talking to me and because I wasn't answering he add : "You are probably looking for a wand, aren't you?". I nodded. He looked at me and picked a box on the top of the shelf behind me. He opened it and gave me the wand. It was light-brown and a thin darker cord of wood was going around the wand like a snake around his prey. I took it in my hand and felt something that I had never felt before. It was like all the energy in me was converging to the wand and continuing through it. The wand was a extension of my hand.

"I was sure that it was for you". I put the wand back in the box and listent to Ollivander speech. "You will have to prove to this wand that you deserved it. A phoenix core is always hard to tame. But I am not worried about that. It's a creative wand that could only choose an independent owner. I wouldn't be surprise if you will be sorted Ravenclaw." 

I paid him and left the shop even happier than before and excited to learn how to use my wand effectively.
