Dear Alana,
I miss you so much! I know I saw you last week, but I already have so much to tell you and West. It's so cool up here in the Berkshires at my parent's house. The leaves are the best colors, and I enchanted the leaves on a whole tree to turn deep green and brown, just to psych everyone out. I also turned one's leaves blue and purple and fuchsia, because what's the good of knowing a fun spell if you don't use it for fun?
What's been going on over the weekend at Eaglesclaw? Don't write too many back, because I'm headed back there tomorrow, and I would hate to tire out those poor owls.
Lots of love, Jade

Dear Jade,
That spell sounds amazing! Do you know if it works on hair? Lola from Snowbeak is annoying the Hogwarts out of me, and I figured turning her hair white might make her stop. If it's permanent, or even semi-permanent, she'll still have it in time for the dance (insert evil laugh here)!
Not much has happened over the weekend, just a lot of homework-doing. We have to cram extra lessons in to make up for all those days when we had to leave class early last month. West says h-
Hi Jade, it's West. I stole Alana's paper, and I just wanted to let you know how much I miss you. Things haven't been nearly as fun without you here, but I had an idea! The two of us should audition for Magical Melody Choir! The auditions are Wednesday during free period, and I think we could make it. Can't wai-
Alana again. She stole my paper! See you soon!
Love, Alana and West give me my paper back nope!

Dear Alana (and West, I guess),
Thanks for the letter. The color-changing spell works on anything, and it is permanent, but I don't recommend using it on Lola's hair. Give her a break, she's probably just still nervous from the recent attacks.
Oh my Merlin, I completely forgot about the All Hallow's Eve Masquerade Ball at the end of the month. I'll have to buy a dress, and color my shoes to match, and figure out a hairstyle...and maybe a date...Oh dear, now I have to try and find a date!
See you guys soon! I may reach you before this owl does, I'm leaving soon.
Love, Jade

Dear Jade,
You'd better be glad West talked me out of hitting Lola with that spell, or it would have been ON!!! Yup, I stopped her. It was glorious, except I blocked the blast with my favorite sweater, and now it's dyed white. Shame, too. I liked that thing! West, we agreed to share one sheet of paper, not to hog the whole thing! Jade is my friend too, I should get to write her if I like. Then get your own bloody sheet of paper!
Glad you're coming back to school, and we'll see you soon! Stop it, it's my turn to write! No it is not-
