Chapter #2: Rounding Up The Siblings
Chapter 2
I set Regina down into her cushiony crib. If Keira busted into the room, talking about some romantic novel, I will kill her. Our mom is a nurse for the Red Cross, and our dad works in the military, so most of the time they're 6,000 miles away. But, that day, they were coming home, and I wanted to spruce the house up. I walked in to the living room, lit the fireplace, and smiled. I loved fire, war and hunting, but I couldn't go hunting very often because I had to take care of my brothers and sisters. As I enjoyed the warmth of the crackling fire, I heard Asher crying a few rooms over. I sighed. The endless pit of neediness, right on schedule. "MONICA! CAN YOU GET ASHER?" I yelled to Monica. Charles sat down next to me. "You okay?" He asked. "Yeah. I'm sorry, I'm just really stressed." I replied. Charles, Mercy and Regina were probably my favorite out of all my siblings. I like Mercy because she's so quiet, Charles because we're practically the same, and I like Regina because, well basically I like her for the same reason Mercy's my favorite. Mom and Dad came through the door, Dad lugging Mom's suitcases through the door. Mom sat down, as Monica came rushing over to her. "Hi Mom!" she exclaimed.
