Taking notes

Chapter 1

The importance of taking notes:

I know this isn't everyone's favourite thing, but please just take notes. The notes you write in lessons are important for reviewing content and studying for mid terms and finals. Though I highly suggest you write your own notes, if you're feeling lazy you can just jot down a sentence or two for the main subheadings provided within the lesson.

Taking useful notes:

  1. Include subheadings for each section-- make sure you can find the content you're looking for!

  2. Always write down definitions, important dates, people and achievements. These are often tested on in assignments and tests.

  3. Keep your notes to the point and not overly long. In saying this, don't write 10 words per section- try to write 30-60 words for each subheading.
