November 26th, 2015. (THANKSGIVING, LATE MORNING, 10 AM)

I chugged an energy drink while waiting for Desiree to finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner. We were the only two students in Hogwarts who wanted to stay for Thanksgiving. Desiree was cooking and didn't want my help because, well, I did get food poisoning from a Pop-Tart. It had been 3 hours since she had started, and I was hungry. 30 minutes later, she emerged from the kitchen, holding several trays of food. "Soup's on!" She said with a little smile. Ironically, she hadn't made soup. We sat down and ate, shoving platters and trays of food in our mouths. "Better than my mother's cooking." I said, my mouth full of turkey and stuffing. Desiree laughed, and a little bit of cranberry sauce fell onto her chin. We cracked up, food falling like Niagara Falls.
