Wesen in the E category.
El Cucuy:
El Cucuy (el KOO-koo-ee) is a vigilante-type Wesen with supersonic hearing. She is very strong and agile in her woged form, abilities that, unlike other Wesen, don't appear to diminish the least with advanced age.
For many years, El Cucuy has inspired legends in Spanish speaking cultures of a bogeyman-like namesake who punishes those that have done wrong. The tale is especially used as motivation for children to listen to their parents. While she doesn't fear Grimms, she's somewhat unsure about how to react around them. El Cucuy rarely woges in front of others to hide her identity. She is known to administer justice (or at least vengeance) to those who seek it. Her attacks are very brutal, and her typical method of operation (killing) involves aggressively slashing her victim's throat. She holds no sympathy for her victims and appears to actually enjoy administering vengeance. Murders committed by El Cucuy are usually assumed to be done by feral dogs, although individuals familiar with actual dog attacks (such as veterinarians or Blutbaden) can easily tell the difference.
It is suggested that El Cucuy is called to a community plagued by injustice by the collective cries of that respective community's women, and she then proceeds to kill those plaguing that community, such as robbers, rapists, drug lords, etc. one by one until it is safe again. After El Cucuy is finished in a community, she will move on to the nearest community in need of help.
Features:When woged, El Cucuy gains yellow eyes, a wide mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth, sharply pointed ears, and long claws. She possesses grey hair on her head and chin. She has an inexplicable ability to hear cries for help from miles away. She is very strong and agile in her woged form, abilities that, unlike other Wesen, don't appear to diminish the least with advanced age. El Cucuy can concentrate her woge to just her eyes, as well as her ears, which grants her the ability to use her superhuman hearing while in human form.
An Eisbiber (ICE-bee-vur) is a beaver-like Wesen. Eisbiber have a reputation for cowardice (though they prefer to call it "common sense". However, they are not quite as cowardly as Mauerhertz (see Wesen: M), and if left with no other options, they will attempt to fight back when cornered, but if faced with an opponent they know they could not beat, they will run. Eisbiber show gratitude and/or guilt by giving gifts. They are usually friendly and non-violent but can be very nosy.
They are very communal and often make decisions that have an impact on their community democratically by voting at their Lodge. Although a peaceful, docile, and nonviolent race, their curiosity has been known to get them into trouble.
Eisbibers have a love for fixing and building things and are naturally quite good at it. As a result, they often find employment as construction workers, construction contractors, and repairmen of various types.
Due to their reputation, Eisbibers greatly fear Grimms and will go out of their way not to aggravate them. This behavior continues even if an Eisbiber has befriended a Grimm, as they'll panic if they think the Grimm is under great stress.
Eisbibers have a common saying, "Strong together, safer apart." This phrase is a reminder that even though Eisbibers can fight best together, they are less likely to be sniffed out if they hide in separate places.
Features:When woged, Eisbibers grow a coat of dull golden fur all over their bodies. Although it becomes part of their fur, their scalp and facial hair can still stand out. Their noses become black, and they grow whiskers. Eisbibers are not super-humanly strong and do not appear to have any physical enhancement when they woge.
Excandescos are among the most dangerous Wesen ever observed, largely because the heat they emanate makes them hard to get close to. They also seem to have a strong case of pyromania and love to commit arson. Some go so far as to make a criminal career out of it. It has been noted that they have a tendency to stick around and watch the fires that they start.
By releasing large amounts of white phosphorus though their skin, Excandescos can generate intense flames. This power can be accessed regardless of if they are woged or not. Due to their nature, they possess a natural resilience to intense heat.
Slathering their bodies while they are woged via a water pistol or something similar with a sticky fire retardant composed of licorice root, beeswax, witch hazel, and jojoba will prevent them from conjuring fire. Consequently, the energy will be turned inwards, causing them to explode. They usually take off the majority of their clothes before they woge to avoid burning them.
