How To Avoid Maiming By Accidental Charms
A quick guide on how to avoid self-maim when performing charms that go a bit wonky and come off not exactly as planned.
[OOC - Out Of Character: this is a very quick written book for fun. It's short so it won't take too much of your time. Enjoy!]

Chapter 4
When in need to use Step #3 of this guide, you must be really desperate prepared to face your own wonky charm and turn it into something else.
By recycling the energy burst from the spell gone wrong, you also must recycle your position. The best way to do so is by taking a step back, while still holding your wand the last position of the charm you were trying to cast, and from there work a longitudinal cut through the air in front of you, mentally conjuring a primitive counter-spell -- which is to say that you should really wish for the force field to protect you.
By willing a force field in a time of distress, any witch or wizard with any trace of magic is able to conjure up a decent field. As mentioned previously, you might be pushed backwards or push forwards the spell, but in both situations, avoid maiming by wonky chams.
