The Letter
Chapter 2
Time was healing my wounds of my grandmother's passing and I was maturing, but I felt cold inside and still hurt from my grandmother's passing. I may have been five at the time but now being at the age of nine it still hurt. I was one time very upset and I was walking down the street to do my job of retrieving the mail at the post office. I walked on and these boys were bullying me. I never let it bother me before the name calling and all the stuff but I just became so angry. I didn't want to be called a "freak" or some "dork" because I loved to learn. And so I yelled at them back. Pushed them to the ground as I began to walk away I wished that maybe that somehow he would just turn into a rat the way I pictured him. When I heard him scream like a girl. I turned around and there was a tail and some ears on his head.
I just ran to the post office and closed the door. The Post office lady had spoken as she noticed i was out of breath, "What's got your tail wrapped around your neck?" I freaked out even more. She most likely did not speak those words but those were the words I heard her say.
"C-C-C-Can I just have my mail please?" I stuttered she handed me my mail and i went home. I wasn't the type that spoke much and whatever just happened I wrote in my journal later that night. I ignored it for so long until I was eleven and Hogwarts demanded I ignore in no longer.
I went to the post office like usual and got my letter that was there. I opened it in my room when I got home. I never got letters. And so this was a surprise i was keeping to myself. When I read everything my heart jumped. I knew that, that was the reason that boy grew a tail and people called him the freak now.
Like I said earlier I like to talk but I am more reserved and stay by myself. I just am good with people but quiet is all that I dwelled with growing up and its how i have learnt to live. Adapting with the professors was just something great. I agreed to go and packed my bags.
I was not telling my mom that I had to go to a special school for witches and wizards or something, so I simply snuck out the door in the middle of the night and walked until I came to a big road and hitch hiked towards the place I needed to go to.
