I looked up and Mrs Hadlin was glaring at me through her glasses as though I were a pile of mud on her shining, flawless floors. “GET OUT!”she shrieked suddenly,eyes lit up violently with malice, just as Lilian peeked her mouse-like, startled face through the door. “Get out you $&!*, you shame to this holy world! Both of you!” I ran as fast as my feet could carry me, soon falling into step with Lilian, but we didn't say a word. Not one. Then it began.
They laughed. They teased. They beat. We cried. On and on and round and round it went and there was nothing we could do about it. Nothing. Because it was the teachers too.
