Chapter 1
I hope she has the strength to do what was right.
Me and Lilian had been dating for over a year now and it was time we told her parents. I'm sure she will have by now, sure it would be OK. But, then again... “No. Macey, you're working yourself up over nothing, absolutely nothing...See!You're talking to yourself! Pull yourself together for god's sake!”
Everything would be fine.
Finally gathering up my courage, I spoke tentatively into the open house. “Hello...?”
“And who may you be!” demanded Lilian's mother, suddenly striding into the once empty hallway.
Startled, I stuttered without thinking, “I-I'm Lilian's girlfriend.” Unfortunately, it was only then that I realized that something was wrong. Lilian hadn't had the strength, she hadn't done the right thing, she hadn't told. I knew what was coming next...
