Brooke Malfoy
A Malfoy? IN Gryffindor? What could go wrong? Everything seems fine for little eleven year old Brooke. Until she was sorted into Gryffindor. I mean, what kind of family support does she get? After her mother gets mysteriously sick just as she attends Hogwarts, her father, Draco, stops talking to her completely. Her thirteen year old brother, Scorpius, was a Slytherin, and was ashamed to be seen talking to her, or looking over at her at all. Brooke is left all alone in the big world of the Wizarding part of it. She ends up meeting a third year girl, Rose, and her younger brother, Hugo, who was in her year. Though Hugo and Rose were Weasleys, they were the only friends Brooke had. It was clear Brooke was not like her family. She was more adventurous and curious than ambitious, intelligent, and soft. Though she did have a kind heart, sometimes her mind goes straight into survival mode. Over the holidays, Brooke goes to live with Hugo and Rose before they came back, since her parents wouldn't allow her to come. Brooke meets the large Weasley family, and met Ron and Hermione, whom she heard her father talking about every once in a while when he brings up school and Potter. Hermione treated her like her own child, while Ron made sure she wasn't a vicious, cruel, and evil version of her parents. Though she had many different characteristic traits, she was quite like her father. She was a smart and skilled dueler, made sure everything was fair, if sometimes would bend the rules for her benefit. Everything was amazing. Until things slipped. Brooke may not have been who she said she was. Who will she choose to be?

The Letter
Chapter 1
A little eleven year old girl sat by the windowsill of her bedroom. She watched the rain fall through the window. The girl was reading The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. She heard the the distinct rain outside as she heard the clock ticking. Somebody then knocked on the door of her bedroom. "Come in," The girl said. A black haired, middle aged woman opened the door, and came into the bedroom. The girl closed her book and placed it on the windowsill. "Hello mother," The girl said. "Good morning, Brooke," The woman said, and sat down on the girl's bed. The girl named Brooke stood up from her sitting position, and sat down next to her mother, named Astoria. "What's wrong?" Brooke asked. "Oh nothing," Astoria answered. "Then why'd you come up here?" Brooke asked. "Breakfast is ready," Astoria said. "I'll be down in a minute," Brooke said. Astoria kissed her on the forhead, stood up, and left her room. Brooke sat in her room for a minute. She sighed and left her room.
