Dramione: The Requirement
Hermione and Draco both notice the silence. Where Hogwarts was bustling with merry conversations before, a gloomy quiet takes its place. No one else is in the castle. It turns out that the entire illusion was conjured by the Death Eaters in their elaborate plot to take Harry and Ron and make them part of the Dark Side. Hermione immediately goes to the Room of Requirement for help, but the door doesn’t let her in. Instead, it gives missions that are easier said than done. The door also threatens Draco with “grim happenings” if he doesn’t help. Join a journey where Draco and Hermione have to conquer their worst fears to get past the door and save their friends - but will they be willing to overcome their past beliefs and work together to do so?

Chapter 3
How strange.
The silence becomes more dense. That’s when I realize that all the students in the hallways have disappeared. No one is in the castle.
Was I so stuck in my internal monologue that I didn’t notice something as obvious as this? Surely not…
The reality slowly sinks in every second.
It feels like one of those nightmares; those ones where you have to run until you’re out of breath, until you have no more energy to get up after you fall down. It feels like those nightmares where your friends abandon you and leave you to do all of the work and get them out of trouble. It’s one of those deadly dreams where you have to run swiftly and quickly to do something important, but you can’t get there fast enough.
Only this time, there’s nowhere to run. There’s nothing to do. I’m lost.
It’s almost worse.
My slight panic has now turned into fear. I turn around and take in my surroundings, unsure of what to do.
The book bag gets almost impossibly heavier.
I’ve never heard of such magic happening. Ever. None of the textbooks have mentioned anything like this.
Faced with something new and different, I’m at a loss for what to do next.
My helpless gaze lands upon the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. He’s teaching trolls how to dance ballet.
How preposterous.
Not helpful, I think. Focus.
But this is where all of the adventure; all of the horror, the fantasies, the actions start.
In a lonely, silent corridor.
