The Fact is This Friction(Dean)
Chapter 4
Description: Y/N's a huge fan of Dean Winchester, a hugely famous rock star. They manage to win backstage passes and VIP tickets from a sweepstakes in their local town and seem to have caught the rocker's eye.
Any AUs or Music? Yep to both today! It's an AU where Dean is a rockstar, and it's based around the song 'Vital Signs' by Rush because I'm a fan of the classics.
*Also* Y/T is your town :)
I was staring at my closet in frustration. I was finally going to a concert (front row seats!) and I have no idea what to wear. I pulled out an old white KISS shirt that I'd cut the sleeves off of and flopped it onto my bedspread with the pair of ripped black jeans I'd already decided would work. My room's door slammed open and I nearly jumped out of my skin at the sudden loud noise.
"Scott, just because we live together does not make you immune to the knock first rule!" My housemate chuckled, knowing full well how startled I'd been.
"Sorry, I just figured you'd need help finding an outfit, since it's your first concert. Because that," He pointed over at my bed with a nail polish coated finger, "is not it." I pulled him the rest of the way into my room by his wrist, closing the door.
"Oh thank God. Yes, help me." The boy strutted over to my closet and immediately pulled a shirt out as if he'd already known exactly the outfit for me.
"Here." He threw it at my face. When I grabbed it I saw that it was a shirt that had the outline of a ribcage and spine cut into the back. "Keep the jeans, go with a man-bun for your undercut, and do a little eyeliner. Only a little." I put up my hands in surrender.
"Got it! Just a little!" I threw on the outfit with the style he'd suggested, doing the eyeliner. I was so ready for this. We both jumped into my car together, jamming together to Winchester tunes on the short drive to the venue. After stopping to buy a couple shirts at the merch stand, we found our seats, and waited until the lights began to dim. Then he walked out onto the stage, strumming along on an electric guitar.
"What's up Y/T? Are you guys ready to rock?" He smiled into the mic on its stand. The crowd roared, Scott and I screaming along with them. "I don't think you're ready!" He said. We cheered louder. "That's more like it!" He started shredding, moving the mic up to the edge of the stage more as the band started their set. I sang along to the songs I knew, banging my head to the beat. That was when it happened. Dean was looking out into the front rows, locking eyes with me and stepping closer as he handed his guitar to another band member. "Courageous convictions will drag the dream into existence~" he sang, reaching out a hand. I smiled and grabbed on as he pulled me onstage. He held the mic between us encouraging me to sing along with him. "A tired mind become a shapeshifter, everybody need a, soft filter, everybody need reverse polarity!" He looked done to see my backstage pass, then flicked his eyes back up to my gaze until the song ended. "Thank you for singing with us and for coming out tonight, what's your name, wonderful?" I blushed a little, and said it into the mic. " That so a beautiful name, Y/N. I love it. Well it was nice meeting you, thank you for your support, and I hope I'll see you again backstage." He winked at me as I climbed down to my seat, taking his guitar back to begin the next song.
"Y/N!" Scott squealed.
"Scott!" I squealed back.
"He was totally into you!" I looked up at the stage, then back to my friend.
"No way." Scott nodded profusely.
"Judging by how his eyes were glued to you the whole time you were singing, and your backside when you came back down here, I'd say yes way!" I rolled my eyes. Scott was a professional at seeing things that weren't really there.
"Sure. Look we'll see for sure when we see him backstage okay?"
"I have a better idea." Scott said. "Blow him a kiss."
"What?!"
"Blow him a kiss! If he blushes, he's into you!" I snorted, if this was what it took, fine. Besides, it's not like I wasn't hoping Scott was right anyway. I caught Dean's eye and blew him a kiss. As hard as it was to see under the bright lights, his cheeks turned a dark red, and he immediately looked away. During a guitar solo, Dean turned to the band member who'd grabbed his guitar earlier, whispering in her ear. She pulled out a piece of paper and scrawled on it in pen, handing it to him when she finished. He grabbed it with his fingers that weren't in use, and when the song paused, he pointed at me, and flicked the paper into my hands. I unfolded it so see the hastily written note.
'How'd you liked to join me at the afterparty when we're done backstage?' It read. I looked up with a smile, nodding to him when he looked my way. Scott tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to him.
"I'll take your car home. I'm sure Mr. Winchester the rich and famous can give you a ride home, whether tonight or tomorrow morning is up to you two, but you'd better use protection and tell me if it's going to be a tomorrow thing so I don't worry." I felt my face go red.
"As if I'd do that on the first date, Scott!"
"Even if it's the first date with him?" He pointed up at the singer. I shrugged slightly.
"Okay, I see your point. I'll let you know."
It turned out Dean and I were both on the same wavelength on that one.
