Zeus (King of the Gods and the God of the Sky)

Chapter 2

Zeus

Zeus is the god of the sky and thunder and is also known as the king of the gods. He resides upon Mt Olympus where he lives with his wife (and sister) Hera.

He is best known for being the only Olympian child of Kronos not to get devoured by him as he was hidden away by his mother Rhea. When he was old enough, he snuck into Kronos' palace as a server where he stood against his father and freed his siblings. They defeated Kronos with the help of Gaia's other children, namely the cyclops who crafted Zeus' famed lightning bolt. Him and his siblings then each divided parts of the world to rule over amongst themselves with Zeus ruling over the sky.

Although he is married to Hera and they have 2 children together (Ares and Hebe), Zeus is often known for his infidelity which resulted in his many offspring whose mothers varied. This includes Artemis and Apollo, Dionysus and Hermes amongst others.
