Chapter 7

Harry and Ginny quickly put their brooms (along with their other utensils) on the ground beside their camp. They ran to get seats.

They were just in time to see the teams race into the air.

“Holyhead Harpies against Puddlemere United!” The commenter yelled into the megaphone. Harry looked to see who was commentating.  It was none other than, their fellow Gryffindor, Lee Jordan.

“It’s Lee Jordan!” Harry yelled, pointing at Lee.

Ginny looked up and gasped. “Cool!”

Harry smiled, looking back at the game.

“Puddlemere in possession!” Jordan yelled into the megaphone.

“Invation of a pass!” Harry shouted excitedly.

“Gwenog Jones had invaded their pass, and now leaving the Holyhead Harpies in possession!” Lee shouted.

Ginny put her hands to her mouth.

Gwenog Jones fell off her broom, and fell towards the ground. Ginny looked up to see who pushed her off.

It was Tiago Montoya. “He —,” Ginny gasped.

Montoya sneered. Ginny raced back to the tent.

Harry hadn’t noticed. “Gin — ginny? Ginevra?”

He looked back to see Ginny, in dark green quidditch robes, with a talon embolized on the chest. She was riding a broomstick.

“Ginevra Weasley! Your mother will never forgive me if she found out I let you play Quidditch illegally!” He shouted.

But Ginny must’ve not been listening. She swooped down, caught Jones, set her down by her pit and played.

She played Beater, which she obviously wasn’t too good at. A chaser got knocked out, and the substitute Beater for Jones, took Ginny’s place, and Ginny took the chaser’s. Ginny zoomed and caught a Quaffle, in mid-pass. Ginny went into the zone, and scored. The stadium’s cheers filled the stadium. Harry cheered louder than ever.

“THAT’S MY GIRLFRIEND!” He bellowed. People behind him noticed that he was Harry Potter.

“Her?” They asked. Harry nodded.

“Go,” He yelled. Ginny scored several times more, bringing them seventy points ahead.

The game ended, as soon as Holyhead Harpies seeker caught the golden snitch.

Harry cheered loudly, as Ginny zoomed towards him.

She landed, but was stopped by Gwenog Jones , who apparently was now conscious.

“Hello!” She said. Ginny looked at her.

“Hi,” Ginny said nervously.

“Listen, I've spoken with my Chaser, she says she's quitting,”  Jones said.

Ginny’s face lit up.

“Would you like to join the Holyhead Harpies?” She asked.

Ginny nearly fell off of her broom.

“Yes!” She squealed, landing beside Harry.

“Galloping Gargoyles!” Jones shouted. She had spotted Harry.

“You know Harry Potter?” She asked Ginny.

“Oh! Yes! He’s my boyfriend!” She said excitedly.

“Hello, Harry, sir. Nice to meet you, Harry, sir,” She said politely.

Harry laughed. “Howdy,” He said.

“Seen tonight’s game?” Jones asked.

Harry nodded, grabbing Ginny’s hand and kissing it. “You did brilliant,” He assured her.

Ginny laughed.

Just as the stands cleared, Harry seized his opportunity.

“Ginny, is it?” Jones asked Ginny, and she turned her head to face Gwenog.

“Yes,” She said.

Harry stood up, grabbed his box, which had his mother’s ring, and got down on one knee. Ginny had been facing Gwenog, and Gwenog hadn’t seen Harry.

Ginny turned around.

“Har—,” She stopped dead. Her hands fell over her mouth.

Harry could feel the monster inside him purr.

“Ginevra Molly Weasley. I love you so much, and the minute I ended this, I knew it was a mistake.

I never want to leave you again and I love you too much to let you get hurt. I will love for as long as I live. It would make me most happy to see your name be Ginevra Molly Potter. Will you marry me?”

He was regretting doing this. Not that he didn’t love Ginny, but about what Ron said. It was painful on his knee, holding up this posture. Harry grinned nervously.

Tears fell from Ginny’s face. “Yes,” She whispered, and Harry couldn’t hear her. “Yes!” She repeated more loudly.

Ginny was now crying joyfully, her hands falling onto Harry’s shoulders as he stood up. She kissed him, and he lifted her off her feet.

He spun her around, and around. They began to feel raindrops falling gently.

Gwenog Jones just stood right there, her mouth dropped. “Oh my goodness,” She mouthed.

Ginny kissed him again, and rain started downpouring.

Harry picked her off of her feet again, and spinned her around the stands.

Gwenog Jones eventually zoomed away, her broom soaked.

Ginny hugged him tightly.

“I love you,” Harry whispered in her ear.

“I love you too,” Ginny whispered back.

Harry kissed her, and they walked back to the tents.

Then End.
