Chapter 8: The Hospital Wing
Chapter 8
Hermione raised Harry in the air with her wand. Ginny walked with Ron and Hermione to the hospital wing. Hermione walked back into the classroom. “Class dismissed, you have a free period but you have homework to do.” Hermione handed out papers. “I expect it to be done by Wednesday.” The class groaned and left the classroom. Hermione smiled, and then she took her wand out. She was about to clean the room up when the door opened. There was a tall man in the door. “Hermiown?” He said. Hermione could tell who it was. “Viktor!” Hermione said. She came over and hugged him. “You look vunderful.” He said, smiling. “Oh, No I don't. I’ve been teaching my class to cast a Patronus, but instead my friend fainted.” Hermione’s face was gloomy. Viktor looked at Hermione. “Vere is he now?” He asked. “Hospital Wing with Madame Pomfrey.” Viktor nodded. “Vould you like ve to valk vou?” He asked. “Oh! Viktor, that would be lovely.” Viktor held out his arm, but Hermione swatted it down. “Sorry,” Hermione said. “It is vo voblem.” Viktor said, smiling still. When they reached the Hospital Wing, Ron was furious to see Viktor. “Ron, Viktor finished at Durmstrang and he came back to see me!” Hermione said excitedly. “Okay, but in case he gets any thoughts.” Ron said, pointing at Hermione then back at him. “Boyfriend.” He said stiffly. Viktor looked a little pale. “I am sorry. Vt was a mistake to think vat.” Viktor said, smiling at Hermione. Ginny and Ron led Viktor and Hermione towards Harry’s side. “He woke up a few minutes ago.” Ginny said, grabbing Harry’s hand. “Hey Hermione—Viktor?” Harry said, slowly. Viktor gestured Hello at him. “Vello Varry!” Harry waved slowly. Hermione laughed at him. Harry grinned. Ron laughed and rolled around on the bed next to Harry. Ginny grinned. Ginny let go of Harry’s hand and grabbed her wand. She pointed it at Ron. “Hermione let me do it.” She begged. “No,” Hermione said. “Let me do it Mione.” Ginny asked again. “Fine, just once.” Hermione gave in. Ron looked at Hermione. “Hermione why did—,” He was cut off by Ginny. “Rictusempra!” Ginny cried. Silver sparks came flying out of her wand. Ron was slapping hands all over his body. Hermione pointed her wand at Ron, but Ginny swatted it down. “Let him feel guilty for a little.” Ginny said, smirking. Hermione looked over her shoulder to see Viktor laughing. Hermione moved her wand to face Viktor instead. Viktor couldn’t see this, and continued to laugh. Hermione raised her wand, “Stupefy!” Hermione whispered. Viktor immediately stopped laughing. He blasted backwards. Hermione raised her wand again. “Imperio!” Hermione called. Viktor’s eyes were orange. Hermione drew her wand to her mouth. She whispered to it. “Apologise to Ronald.” Viktor stood up. He walked over to Ron, who was still tickling. “I am sorry.” Viktor said firmly. “Prior Incantatio!" Hermione said, pointing the wand at Viktor. Then she pointed it at Ron, who was still tickling and laughing. “Prior Incantatio!” Hermione casted it at Ron, who stopped tickling. “Ginny, that was enough.” Hermione said, grabbing her purple beaded handbag. Hermione pulled out a tiny bottle. “Okay, well, we need to take this. Harry, do you still have Felix Felicis?” Harry nodded suspiciously. “Why do you need it?” Harry asked. “Luck,” Hermione answered, rolling her eyes. “Isn’t that the obvious answer?” Hermione set the tiny bottle on a bedside table, and pulled out a few books labelled, ‘Potions: The Book of Potions from Felix Felicis to Polyjuice Potion.’ “We’ll be needing Polyjuice potion too.” Harry, Ginny, and Ron exchanged looks. “What are we gonna do?” Ron asked. “We’re gonna go visit Sirius’s grave.” Hermione said firmly. “Harry, I know tonight was the night Sirius died, so I thought we could go visit him.” Harry looked astonished, Ron looked horrified. “Ron, a word?” Harry said, getting up from his bed. Ron followed. When they reached the outside of the wing, Harry was practically yelling at Ron. “Ron, I thought you were going to propose this just ruins your plans. Why do you want to do this?” Ron looked at Harry rudely. “You think I wanted this to happen? You think I planned for Hermione wanting to visit Sirius’ grave?” Harry shook his head reluctantly. “We better do it fast so we can be back by sundown.” Harry said. Harry grabbed his wand. “Accio Rosmerta’s brooms!” Four brooms zoomed into the room. “Accio Firebolt!” Harry called. Another broom appeared. “We ride these out of Hogwarts Grounds, then Apparate to Sirius’ grave.” Ron nodded. “I’ll get Hermione.” Ron said. Ron walked in and told Hermione to plan. “I’m coming with you dear brother!” Ginny was yelling at Ron. Her hair was out of its ponytail by now. “You can’t leave me out!” “Ginny, I know you’re of age, just me, Hermione, and ‘Arry—” “Oh Ronald Weasley! Just be realistic for a second! Why would you think I wouldn’t want to come and see Sirius’ grave?” Ron shook his head. “Dark Magic,” Hermione interjected. “Ginny, after he died, they invested the grave with Dark Magic, you’re of age, just not old enough to counter curse the hexes they have put.” Harry stormed in. “I think, Ginny, you need to stay. If I didn’t know it had Dark Magic—,” Hermione and Ron were nodding, encouraging this. “Harry! How could you! I never want to leave my sanctuary.” Ginny cried. “Luna and Neville will take care of you!” Harry said quickly. Ginny nodded slowly, looking slightly heartbroken. “Ginny, you know we’d take you with us.” Harry added. Luna and Neville suddenly came bursting through the door. “Ginny is going. Me and Luna are going too,” Neville said immediately. “We are Dumbledore’s Army, and a little D.M won’t break us,” Luna said proudly. Harry smiled. “You know, we can’t keep the D.A from what they want to do.” Harry said. “Ginny, Neville, Luna, they want to fight.” Hermione said. “Ron, please, we will help.” Ginny begged. Ron shook his head firmly. “Harry,” Ginny said, turning to him. “I’ll—do it.” Harry said, lifting his wand at Ron. Ginny got excited, Hermione looked a little shocked. “Harry, don’t!” Hermione cried. “Hermione, we can use the help. I won’t do it if he gives in.” Ron shook his head furiously. “No more of my family is getting hurt.” Ginny sighed at him. Harry lifted his wand. “Imperio!” Ron’s head went spinning. Ron nodded his head, and Harry pointed his wand back at Ron. “Prior Incantatio,” Ron’s head stopped spinning. Ginny looked hyped up, and looked eager to put a Bat-Bogey Hex on Ron. “Go ahead,” Ron said breathlessly. Ginny raised her wand, pointing it straight at Ron. “Volatilis Lutum!” Ron looked the same. Ginny, Hermione, and Harry saw something black hanging out of his nose. Before bats could fly out of his nose, Hermione raised her wand. “Prior Incantatio,” She said. “We are wasting time,” Harry said with a sigh. Ron and Hermione nodded. “Let’s visit Sirius’ grave so we can do—whatever,” Ron said. “Are we going to the Department of Mysteries?” Harry asked impatiently. “Yes. Sirius will—should— be glad we remember him,” Hermione said. Harry looked gloomy. “Should? I reckon he will–,``''Harry, we never will know what Sirius thought of you visiting his place.” Ginny said.
